Keith and Cherry settled an agreement. They should stay as friends, but she has to tell her parents that it's over. He can't help but think that Cherry has been troubled a lot of times. He doesn't think that questioning it would be the best idea.

Keith stood outside the apartment. Cherry's henchmen are taking her stuff away from the apartment.

"Can I go to my apartment though?" Keith asked. He's been asking the same question for a while.

"No," and this is their answer.

"But--"

"Step in this perimeter and we'll tie you down."

"Okay GEEZ... Sorry," Keith groaned, walking away.

He doesn't know what to do or where to go. Why did they even decide to move her stuff away in the middle of the night? Nevermind, Keith knows the answer. It's obviously her dad.

Keith stopped at a gas station, going into the store. It's quiet and creepy. He grabbed snacks and a drink to pass time.

He put all the stuff on the counter to pay for it.

"Hey, don't I know you from somewhere?" Keith lifted his head up, meeting the cashier.

Really familiar...

"Aren't you the one that dated Pico?"

Keith widened his eyes in realization.

"You're... Darnell?"

"Hell yeah! Good to see you again, Keith. It's been 13 years."

"That long? Yeah, nice to see you too," he said. "I'm glad you didn't die yet."

"Well well..." Darnell said, chuckling. He started checking out the items. "Nene said about the prize. Looks like you have to be with Pico."

"Yeah... I suppose," Keith smiled awkwardly.

"Are you sure you wanna be with him though?" He said, bagging the items.

Keith received it, pausing to think about it. "I... Can't be sure until he does."

Darnell stood silent for a second before uncrossing his arms and speaking again. "Pico hasn't recovered that well. He really needs the support of the people he loves."

"I know. I'll try not to make the same mistake," Keith chuckled, scratching his neck.

"Well see you around, Keith. Have a nice night," He said with a smile. Removing the tense atmosphere for a bit.

Keith smiled back. "You too."

Just as he was about to leave, someone in the speed of sound rushed inside the store. Keith stumbled a bit but caught his balance.

"Hey hey! Guess what? We're having a slumber party! End your shift now," it was Nene who did that. She pulled Darnell away from the cash register.

"Now? Why?" Darnell asked, trying to keep his hat from falling.

"Because... I don't have anything to do and I want to spend my time with you guys. Who knows? I could die after this."

Keith looked away and started to walk outside the store. He doesn't think he has any business here.

Keith took his second step, bumping into someone. He looked slightly up to see Pico. What a coincidence.

"Uh... Hey. I didn't expect to see you here," Pico started a conversation.

Keith backed away. "Haha... Me neither."

Of course he's gonna be here, Darnell is here. Stupid.

"Keith! So glad to see you. We totally didn't know you're gonna be here," Nene said, appearing out of nowhere between them. "Cherry told me that the workers from her family kicked you out of your own apartment," she added.

Keith thought that this is embarrassing. Being temporarily kicked out of your apartment?

"But hey! Darnell, Pico and I conveniently thought of having a slumber party. Would you like to join?" Nene offered.

Keith looked at the three of them, reading their expressions. He felt his hands sweating from my pockets.

"It's just for one night," she added.

"You have to agree. You wouldn't want to sleep in the streets in the middle of November, and the high chance of getting murdered," Pico said.

Keith laughed silently. Pico and his weird fantasies. It's real though...

"Great! Pico, take us to your car," Nene said. "Darnell, you don't have a choice."
