Cherry sighed, looking outside the window. She looked as her henchmen deliver her stuff from Keith.

"Hey sweetie, your mom needs to talk to you," said her father.

She nodded, receiving the telephone from her daddy dearest. He left the room and the room stayed the same.

Cold, dark, and lonely.

"Hello, my cherry blossom,." Cherry heard her mom from the other line. She felt a bit joy that she got to speak to her mother again.

"Hi, mother," she replied joyfully.

"I received the news that your current boyfriend made a deal to be gay with someone else or to be with you."

Cherry's smile faded. That was a secret deal, how did she know? Of course... It's one of her henchmen. She's happy for them but... She feels sad because she's jealous that they're going to be happy and she's not.

"It's not a bad thing."

"I don't believe that story. No one turns against my beautiful daughter. He's lying to himself, sweet,." Her mom said.

Cherry couldn't really argue. What is she supposed to say?

"Do you... Like this guy? I notice that you take more interest in him than most of the guys you've dated."

Cherry has been silent for too long. She was trying to say something but this time, she can finally answer.

"Yeah, I think so. He's the best boyfriend I could ever have." Cherry said, carefully placing the 'boyfriend' instead of 'friend' in her sentence.

"Very well," Her mom said, sounding sinister. "Let's see if he does really love you dearly."

...

Keith was welcomed in Pico's house. It's surprisingly really warm and cozy for him considering that he's been outside for too long.

"Alright I'm getting everything. Darnell, come help m,." Nen said, pulling Darnell away from the scene.

Keith and Pico are now the only ones in the living room.

Keith didn't bring anything with him other than the food he had in the gas station. He awkwardly searches for stuff in his pocket.

"Do you need anything?" Pico asked awkwardly.

"Oh, I'm good. Thanks," Keith replied.

"Well let me know if you need anything. I'll just be... In the bathroom. Be right back," Pico said, walking away like a penguin.

They shared something together, something happened to them, and here they are again.

Keith is doubting if this could work out... He'll be fine if they become friends though.

He sat on the couch to wait for them. He tried distracting himself by looking around, He really hates being stuck with his thoughts.

He noticed that there's a blanket, pillow, and water bottle here along with a cigarette thingy. He wonders if Pico sleeps here.

"Okay I got everything-- where's Pico?" Nene asked. She set everything on the table.

"He went to the bathroom," Keith answered.

"That little--Darnell, entertain Keith. I'll be right back," Nene said, stomping away.

Pico quietly shut the door, hiding in the depths of the shadows. He grabbed one of the shirts and hugged it. Pico noticed the light coming underneath the door. He knew that someone went inside the room.

"Alright. Come out of the closet, Pico," He knew it. It was Nene.

Pico kept silent. He hugged the shirt closer to him.

"Keith is going to wonder where you are," Nene sighed sadly. She sat down and leaned on the closet door. "This is your shot, Pico. Don't you want to try again?"

"No... I'm scared, okay?"

"Well, Pico. There's ups and downs of relationships. At some point, you're going to see him hurt."

"A--"

"I know what you're gonna say. You're gonna ask if that's supposed to make you feel better. Keith is willing to try. You should too. If trouble comes, we're here for you."

Pico sat there in silence. Somehow, he can feel his problems slowly getting off, making him able to breathe steadily.

"He's waiting for me...?" He mumbled.

"Yeah, peanut brain," Nene said.

"What... What do I do?"

"Do it your way. Just talk to him, initiate a conversation. Ask how he's been, his favorite food," Nene opened the closet door and greeted Pico. "Start somewhere! Go white boy go."

Pico smiled. He's still shaking a bit but he knows he can do this. It's going to be awkward but they'll get by.

Pico came out of the closet.

Keith and Darnell decided to play shooting games. Maybe bringing up the past would be too awkward and not a good idea. Keith sucks at the game though, he tries not to show frustration.

"Good game," Darnell said, making Keith think he's teasing him for losing.

"Yeah," Keith replied, trying not to sound annoyed,

It's been so long since Darnell and Keith hung out.

The latest memory Keith had of them is him falling down the swing and injuring his head. Darnell was the only one around so he treated him by putting paper on my wound. Then they got ice cream and the vendor treated Keith's wound accurately.

Pico's friends are creepy for Keith, but are really great people. He has good taste for friends.

"We're back!" Nene said excitingly. Pico is beside her, not making eye contact but smiling.

"What? Did you wipe Pico's ass or something?" Darnell teased, earning a deadly glare from Pico. "Oh, should we get ready for movie night?" He changed the subject.

"Of course. What else can we do? All I know is face masks," Nene said, sitting beside the couch. Pico did the same thing.

"What if we play a board game?" Pico suggested.

"Yeah, like old times. Remember Brain Games?" Keith said.

"Oh yeah! Why not?" Nene said she went to get the board game.

Darnell left shortly, he said he's getting snacks.

Pico fake coughed and successfully made eye contact with me. "I know I already asked you this but... How are you?"

"I'm doing fine. It's just... Cherry," Keith replied. "But she and I are still friends."

Pico nodded. Neither of them doesn't know what to say.

"Listen. About the battle... I feel like we should talk about it," he said.

Keith nodded, agreeing with him.

"Do you really think we should try again?" Pico mumbled. It was perfect for Keith to hear it though.

"I believe we should," Keith smiled at him. "You're the greatest person I could ever love. I think we can work this out."

Pico returned the smile that he hasn't seen in a long time. A smile that isn't forced, a smile that doesn't make the sadness the majority. A smile that... Is true and the one he loved.

He pulled him into a hug. Keith returned it by giving him a strong one. It's been so long since he felt his warmth and smelt his scent. That signature strong cologne he was using until now.

"YOU FUCKING BURNT THE POPCORN!" Nene screamed in the other room.
