Perfectly True ~ Niall Horan story

prologue

"Here they are! It's only the biggest boyband in the entire universe! The boys of One Direction have arrived and fans can hardly contain themselves!"

The deafening crowd makes the hairs on Lillianna's arms stand up, overwhelming to the point that her brain can't fully comprehend the sensation and if you looked close enough you could notice her entire body trembling with adrenaline and fear.

"Rumour has it that Lillianna Horan and little Oilibhia Horan will also be making an appearance tonight! How lovely!"

Niall quickly noticed Lilli's rising anxiety and instantly his spare hand slipped into hers whilst he managed to carefully balance a nervous and sleepy Oilibhia on his hip.

They were one of Hollywood's most notable and popular power couples - they were always papped, they stayed out of drama and were commended as a success story of young, hopeless romance but no matter how many times they had walked red carpets or completed difficult interviews, the nerves always appeared and the fear thrived off of their personal anxieties.

In all honesty, both were struggling to cope and were dealing with their own anxieties with Niall being relentlessly pushed more and more by management, the pressure mounting as the band was only growing bigger and Lillianna desperately trying to run a movie studio and acting career whilst dealing with severe PTSD and trauma that cannot be ignored.

On top of that, they were parents to a 5 year old child who was starting to, let's just say, do things the Tommo way.

Niall, Lilli and little Oilibhia still hadn't been seen by the demanding media, hidden by the large arrival car as the rest of the boys walked the carpet ahead of them, distracting the media momentarily to give the couple an extra moment to breathe.

Simon was forcing Niall and the boys to attend this special charity banquet evening in order to gain some positive publicity and to regain the media's favour after some more drug videos had surfaced (seriously not a big deal but trust me when I say that Lillianna had voiced this opinion and her argument, although valid, had surprisingly not charmed or convinced Simon).

Niall had suddenly sprung this event appearance on Lilli, his lack of sleep and clarity clouding his memory, and due to the lack of planning and a babysitter (Elio was working on a late night shoot much to Lilli's dismay),Oilibhia had been forced out of her bed and quickly swept into the car, grouchy and not impressed.

Niall and Lilli hated the press having excessive access to Oilibhia, both expertly aware of how dangerous being in the spotlight can be for a young person, but once Simon had heard that the child would be there he was absolutely ecstatic, focusing on how much positive publicity will be achieved through her innocent, cute face and therefore Niall and Lilli were trapped and had no choice but to attend, bickering with one another once out of earshot from Oilibhia.

The pointless bickering stopped once they were shoved out of the car, their bodies instinctively intertwining.

"Ni," Lilli whispered, her panic rising despite trying her best to focus on Niall's comforting hand intertwined with her own, his thumb reassuringly running along her delicate skin.

Oilibhia was clearly scared, clinging to Niall as the noise of the large crowd continued to build to drastic levels and even Lilli could tell that Niall was internally stressed and deep down knew that Oilibhia was far too young to be in an environment this overwhelming.

"Lil, you need to breathe," Niall whispered back, gently looking into Lilli's eyes as she struggled to catch her breath.

"Daddy, I'm scared," Oilibhia started to cry into Niall's shoulder, hiding her face as he gently shushed her and rocked his hips back and forth to get her to calm down.
