Maybe I should add my books there too what if the burglars turned out to be kindle-less?!?!"

Monday.

Today was Monday.

My first day of school in a town where I had moved in hardly 3 days ago and which I had not even known about until a few weeks ago.

To say I was nervous was an understatement, after my shopping date with Josie on Saturday I had holed stayed holed up in my dorm room on Sunday although I had used the time to fix my room. I had unpacked the boxes and the essential items that I'd brought on Saturday which included a Lot of snacks which I had carefully hidden in the back of my closet. And so after a whole day of labor I had successfully converted my simple dorm room into something more cozy. I had added blankets and a rug, light glow from the fairy lights that I had installed cast a cozy feel at night and also at the steel panel at the windowsill I had kept small plants, a string of pearl and a gardenia while a kalanchoe sat on a corner of my table. I was a major plant lover, this was instilled in me by my mom she had loved plants too and always felt that a home was incomplete without plants in the picture so when Josie and I passed through a plant store I couldn't help but buy some.

It was a quarter past 8 and the classes didn't start till 9:30 and it only took roughly 15 minutes to reach the campus from the dorm although that was too early I did not mind as I wanted some time to locate all of my classes 'cause being late on my first day will be EMBARASSING!

I had woken up early and showered and after 15 mins of debate with myself on what to wear I chose a simple white top with spaghetti straps and floral designs and a denim jacket over it and black skinny jeans with blue high tops. After combing my dried hair into a half up half down I took my books for the day, the schedule in my bag. They had been delivered on my door when Josie and I had gone out with a small note saying that I had to go to the office before my classes for giving my attendance for the semester. I took my side bag which was a blue sling bag with a white wind chime painted in the middle with a pepe the frog key chain. I had bought and loved it when I was obsessed with memes.

 And I still loved it.

Go Figure.

I strapped the bag to my shoulder, took one last look in the mirror, checked the lights, locked the door and took a deep breath as I went down the stairs.

-------------------------------------

"Okay so I have marked your attendance for the semester. Take this slip get it signed by all the teachers from your classes and give it back to me by the end of the day. Understood?"

I nodded along to the red head receptionist at the office. When I had arrived I had been a little lost but had found the office soon after. The red head at the receptionist who had bright red make-up and a little too strong a perfume and explained to me where the classes were and did all the official deeds.

Right now I waited for her to finish it off as I looked out of the curtain window towards the bright sunlit premises and listened to the click-click of the type writer and the rustling of pages. Even with office lady's too strong a perfume the smell of ink and blotched paper was predominantly filled in the room.

"Okay that's all you may go now. Good luck for today." She said smiling as she handled me the permission slip.

"Thank you. Good day to you too."

I went outside and checked the time. It was thirty past eight. I still had about half an hour to spare before I had to go to class.

Damn. Now I'm an early freak.

I went out of the office and into the hallway where the lockers were situated. I went to the locker tagged 0105 and opened it. I opened my bag and took out my schedule. I had skimmed through it yesterday but only to check out the books that I had to take for today. Right now I looked at it again to memorize it.

1ST PERIOD: LITERATURE

2ND PERIOD: FREE

3RD PERIOD: GYM

4TH PERIOD: AP CALCULUS

____LUNCH____

5TH PERIOD: FRENCH/GERMAN

6TH PERIOD: AP ALGEBRA

7TH PERIOD: PHYSICS

8TH PERIOD: CHEMISTRY

My schedule was pretty tight for the day but I was grateful for the free second period. I had skipped breakfast to get early and even though time was left I was not going to risk going to the coffee shop right now. I put the books in my locker except for the first and the third period and closed my locker. I came out of the building to see very scarce students arriving. There was a chill in the air although the sun was shining but it still had a soft warmth. I went around the building looking at the beautiful gardens surrounding it.

I went behind the stone building with one hand grazing the stone clad walls as I admired the stone structure and beautiful garden when I saw that behind a few trees was a small clearing. It was hidden from direct view by a few trees and only if someone came across the tress pressed close to the building wall could spot it. In the small clearing on green grasses was a bench painted blue. Although creepers and climbers had grown on the bench it still looked in good shape. Behind it was a statue of a small angel holding a vessel although it gave a very Dr. Who feeling still the beautiful flowers that grew behind it like a canopy over the bench gave the whole place a very beautiful and alluring aura. The fragrance of flowers had filled the place and soft rays of sunlight peeked from the trees. I went and sat down on the bench and immediately felt at peace. The chirping of birds occasionally breaking the silence, the sweet aroma the quiet rustling of trees drew me in like a moth to a flame. I had always liked affinity to nature and this spot was one of the closest I'd been. I quickly opened my bag and took out 'This Man'.  It had to be one of the best reading spots ever as I turned the pages and fell into the realms of another world.

-------------------------------------

It had to be quite some time that I spend reading when I was snatched from the clutches of a crazy neurotic man by a soft gasp.

I looked up from my book to look into the greenest green that I had ever seen.

And almost involuntarily my face muscles broke into a huge smile.

So this is it! Guy meets the girl.. The two souls meet.. They find the one!

Frankly it seems like all my writing till now has come to this moment. I am really tempted to write a chapter of the whole encounter from The One's point but at the same time I want to maintain the whole excitement and allure.

We'll see. ;-)
