Chapter 3

Josie PoV:
It's been a good few days since that awkward encounter with Hope and I'm kinda happy I haven't seen her since. And besides I've been busy with classes and my girlfriend.

I woke up and looked on the clock to see that it was already 12 am. I launched out of bed and ran to my closet. There I got dressed and then I did my makeup and hair. Since it was Saturday, I decided to go get some snacks and stay in all day.

I went to the closest store and bought chips, chocolates and ice cream. I put Gossip Girl on Netflix and started eating.

When I was in the middle of the season, I got a phone call from one of my classmates "hey Josie! What are you doing tonight?". I stopped the episode and thought for a second "hey Stacey, just watching some Gossip Girl, why?".

"Ohhh, that's nice. Can't wait to see your reaction when you find out who the gossip girl is. Well, anyways, there is a karaoke night and I heard some weirdos are going to sing. We should go watch them embarrass themselves".

I rolled my eyes smiling "when and where?". She told me everything and I decided to go get ready. I decided to dress a little scandalous since I felt like I didn't do anything like that in a while.

When I was done I heard a knock on my door. I opened it to see Stacey "hey S" and she replied "hey Jo, ready to go?". I nodded and we were already on our way.

We got to the bar and we ordered some drinks right away. The bar was nice, but somehow I felt uneasy. I heard someone was going to sing so I snapped out of my thoughts and ordered some shots.

About 20 minutes later Stacey left to probably fuck someone, so I was left alone. That was until someone sat next to me and it was bo other than Hope.

Hope PoV:
I sat down in some stupid karaoke bar and it just had to be next to my ex, a girl that broke my heart into a million pieces. I sighed and ordered something to drink.

"I can go, you know?". I looked at her confused "wait, what?". She flashed me a small smile "I can go if you feel uncomfortable next to me." I put my hand on hers "no, it's fine. I just didn't expect you to be here.".

After I realised what I did, I removed my hand and ran it through my hair "Hope, I-". I shook my head "Josie, don't.".

"No, I have to say it. I'm sorry Hope. I really am. I said it that day and I'm gonna say it again, I hope that you can forgive me one day.".

I sighed again and looked at her sadly "it's not that easy Josie. I don't know if I can do it, at least not yet.".

I stood up and walked away.
