I awake to more beeping, but this isn't hologram beeping, it's hospital beeping. I look at my body. I'm covered in wires. My lungs hurt. I scream. My parents wake up. They scream. A nurse comes in and asks me questions. My ears feel like they're filled with water. I panic. I black out.
Once again I wake up. The nurses around me all ask questions at once. I'm scared. What's wrong with me?! I start to cry, and Justin yells, "WILL EVERYONE JUST STOP!?" That quiets them. He ushers all of them out except one. I give him a look of recognition. He nods.
The nurse runs some tests, and diagnoses me with severe anxiety. She sends me home with some instructions on how to care for me, and my mom gets a five day work pass.
If I needed even more proof that I had the best friend in the world, I got some because at four' o' clock in the morning, Lilia came in the house with a set of my favorite television shows and movies. Her mom gave her the day off school, so that I'd have someone to talk to, as my mom was planning to work from home, filling out paperwork she never has time to do.
Lilia turns on one of the shows, and I'm asleep ten minutes in.
