On my way to school the next day, my mother comes with me. her job is on the way, so she doesnt have an excuse not to come.
At school everyone stares at me. Everyone knows. They look at me as if im some freak when really i'm just as scared and frightened as they are.
When I sit down in my Job Training class, my dad winks at me. At first, i hated the idea of having my dad as my teacher, but now, I find it comforting that he'll always be there.
The class was great. I can finally wrap my head around the idea that i'm a surgeon. It feels good to say that. Im a surgeon. I feel like i earned it.
When I get home, something feels wrong. It's 6:30. Justin should be home. We call his girlfriend. Not there. We call the school. Not there. We call town hall. Our worst fears are confirmed.
On his second day of work at the easiest job you could possibly have, my idiot brother somehow managed to mess it up. My dad and i are allowed to go and testify, but what can we say? "Hes just a natural born idiot." That's the truth, but it wont cut it. Great. Im being stalked and my brother's getting executed. He's allowed to come home once more before he goes to town square for the execution ceremony. It'll be the second of the year.
At dinner, we have all his favorite foods. After dinner, we watch his favorite movie. At night, we go outside and watch the stars like used to love to do when he was a kid.
It was hard having to first, wrap my head around being a surgeon, now this! I cry myself to sleep that night. I have no thoughts to ponder over, as they are all confirmed.
