Chapter 13 Happy news

3 week after baby Aiden was born I got a phone calling say that he wasn't my baby, I was happy that I didn't have to deal with Asia but then I felt bad for the innocent baby. Me and Za sat in the hospital room with Kayla, she was doing good and would be released the next day. Despite everything that was going on, I managed to keep everything in and not let Za see how fearful I was of anything turning worst than how it is now.

"So what have I missed, besides all this drama with Candice?" Kayla asked

"Oh nothing, I'll be graduating soon girl , I can't wait!"

The hard work and determination Za put in, I applause her, going to work and school, late nights. She shows me how strong she is even though things are rocky.

"I'll be right there cheering you on. I can't wait to get out this damn bed, be nice and comfortable in my own!"

We all chuckled at Kayla's remark.

I looked down at my watch and saw that it was 4:45, we have been here since 12 and I was ready to just lay in my own house.

"Za I'm tired, I'm ready to go home, you want to stay here and I'll come get you when your ready?"

"Yeah, I'll stay here until visiting hour is over."

"Rd, I love you, bye Kayla."

I got up and walked out after giving them a hug. I got to my car and was just concentrating on taking a nap. I was exhausted but I didn't know why, haven't didn't anything today.

Within 20 minutes I pulled up at the house and saw something on my steps.

I got out the car and walked up too it. A blanket was over it and there was a note. I realized it was a car seat. I pulled the blanket off and saw baby Aiden peacefully sleeping. Then I read the note

Dear Brandon
I know this isn't your baby or your responsibility but I want Aiden to grow up in a good home. I want you and Za'niyah to take care of him and raise him as your own. Please just do this for him. I sign everything thing over to you and Za'niyah, just sigh the paper and mail it to the office.

I open the door and brought the little man in. I didn't know what to do, I never had a child before. I didn't know how this will work out. I needed Za, she is the best person to deal with this situation.

"Kayla I'm pregnant."

Her eyes widen as she slowly looked up at me from her phone.

"Your what? Does he know?"

"No no! I haven't told him yet, I was planning on telling him today, I took the test yesterday."

"Za I'm so happy for you, but you have to tell him." Her smiling from ear to ear just made me even more happy about the good news .

"I will, I want to start our own family, I hope it's a girl."

My phone began to ring, I pulled it out of my bag and I realized it was Brandon.

"It's him Kayla!"

"Answer it and tell him..!"

I answered the phone

"Hello?"

"Za! I need you, right now!"

"Baby calm down, what's wrong?" I looked at Kayla worried to hear what was coming next. "Asia left Aiden at the door, and a note saying she want us t take care of the baby." My mouth dropped hearing this, plus a baby on the way. "You want to come get me?"

"Yes, I'm on my way."

"Ok, I'll see you soon."

I hung up and it complete silence. "What he say?" I paused, "Kayla, Asia wants me and Brandon to take care of the baby, she left him at the house."

"Is she crazy in this heat outside?" Said Kayla in a angry tone.

"Yeah, well Brandon is coming to get me, I have a baby on the way plus Aiden, I am willing to take care of him, he is a innocent baby, he deserves a good life. I just don't know how I'm going to tell Brandon bout his child."

"Well you better, don't keep it from him."

Shortly Brandon called me saying he was outside, I gave Kayla a goodbye hug and told her I'll be back the next day to get her.

I then walked outside to the car and got in, I sat in the back with little Aiden to keep him safe, he was still sleeping. His little face, I instantly fell in love, it was just time for me to tell him about our little one on the way.

15 mins later we got to the house and I took Aiden upstairs and laid with him on the bed. Exhausted from the day, I wanted to take a nap myself but I knew he needed things. I then called for Brandon, he came running to the room, out of breath.

"Yes!" He said hardly able to breath, I thought it was funny because he thought something was wrong.

"Calm down, it's nothing. We just need things for him and we have to talk.."

"Ok, well I'm making you something to eat. Just write down some things he is going to need and I'll go to the store, we can go shopping for everything else tomorrow."

Back in the kitchen, finishing up preparing Za sandwich, and poured her some cranberry juice. As I was walking upstairs I remembered she said we had to talk. What possibly could be wrong now?

"Here you go baby, when I come back from the store we're going to talk ok. I don't want him waking up hungry, I'll be right back."

"Ok, hurry back." She said calmly, Za wasn't a mother, but she sure is handling this situation like he is her own. I loved this, I just wanted to know when will we will have one of our own, a little me running around the house.

I arrived at Baby's R Us and checked the list. Baby formula, diapers, onesies, socks, bottles, blankets. After that, I headed over to Macy's and went to the baby sections and picked out 2 outfits for Aiden, also a swing just some can have something to lay in while Za is busy finishing up her work for school.

20 mins later I arrived back at the house and bought in all the bags.

"Za, I'm back!"

No replay. "Za!" I made my way upstairs and checked the room, Aiden was on the bed squirming around like he was about to wake up. I made my way to the bathroom and found her around the toilet. "Za! You ok?" "I'm fine Brandon, this is what we had to talk about.." My eyes widen wondering what was coming next. "I'm pregnant." 2, not 1 but 2..2 babies growing up here. "Za, when did you find out?" "Yesterday.. I wanted to tell you but I couldn't build up the courage." "I'm happy, I always wanted a little me, and Aiden..growing him as our own, baby come here."

She got up and I gave her the tightest hug ever, I was in love with the woman and we still never finished celebrating her birthday, I'm going to make her the happiest woman ever by what's coming next.

"Brandon too tight! Let me clean up and take care of Aiden." I looked her right in her eyes and landed a big kiss on her cheek, she's going to be my wife!
