Chapter 5 Unwanted Trouble

I woke up this morning and Za'niyah wasn't there. I reached over to pick up my phone to only see a text from her, saying she had to leave to go home to get ready for work. I decided to text her and see what she was doing.

Baby girl:"Goodmorning princess, what you up too?"

I waited to see if she had read the message. Five minutes went by and she hadnt so I decided to get up and get ready for work. I thought about what she had said lastnight about her cousin and honestly I knew that was her weakness.

I didnt want to be the clingy boyfriend but I did want to know if my baby was ok. At this moment she was all that mattered. I hopped in and took a nice lengthy shower, longer than I usually would, I felt stressed.

I was finished brushing my teeth, wrapped my towel around my waist, and walked about to my phone. Still no message from Za. I decided to text her again.

Baby girl:"Just checking up on you, you good?"

I got up and went to my closet looking for something to wear. I picked out a white long sleeve dress shirt with a space grey slim fitted dress pants and a black and grey tie to go perfectly well with it, and my black dress shoes.

7 minutes later I was ready to go. I headed to the car and while I was walking I got a call from Sammy.

"Yoo bro wassup?"

"Aye Sammy, nothing im good, what you been up too?"

"Nothing, been chilling, where you at?"

"Driving on my way to work."

"Oh are you busy later on?"

"No, what's up?"

"I gotta come talk to you man."

"Come by around 2."

"Ok see you then."

We hung up and all I could think about was what he wanted to talk about...and still no text or call from Za'niyah.

I was at work and all I could think about was Brandon. I saw his messages pop up on my lock screen but I didn't dare open it since he will know that I've read it.

He loved me? I know that he doesn't know that I heard him, I'm not a heavy sleeper and once he had laid me down on the bed, I heard those three words. I didn't sleep much because that was on my mind, I don't loooove him, it's too early for that, hasn't even been a week yet.

"Za'niyah."

Lora called and I snapped out of my deep thought.

"Yeah?"

"You ok?"

"Yeah...."

"These new stuff that came in today from Michael Kors and Juicy Couture are soooo cute!"

"Yes I love that pink bag."

"Need some help stocking?"

"No I'm good, thanks though Lora."

"No problem, if you need anything I'll be at my register."

"Ok."

She walk away and I picked up my phone, unlocked it and just stared at the screen. I was having mixed feelings and locked my phone. I didnt understand why I was feeling this way, it was just a simple I love you, I heard it many times from my mom but hearing it from him...was totally different.
