"Eat it, Jisung." My therapist commanded.
"Why?"
"We go through this every time. You have to or a government official will personally see that you take it. And they won't be as nice as I'm being right now." She held her hand out with the suspicious, white pill.
The pills ensured that you have the right vitamin content so no-one would become malnourished, or so they said. It was one of the current laws stated by the Utopia Party.
"But if I eat it, they can track where I am." I whispered to myself, trying to shove it away from my face.
"No they won't," she brought it back to my face, "they can't legally do that. Whoever told you that is just lying and they don't know the facts. Who told you that anyway?"
I'm not a snitch, I thought. Chenle doesn't need to be included in this conversation. "I just heard someone on the streets say it. They seemed like they knew their stuff."
"Jisung, I'm legally not allowed to let you leave until you've had this."
I sighed. "Fine." I took the pill and swallowed it. I'm definitely throwing up after this to get it out since she checks if I've taken it or not.
"Open."
I showed my mouth, moving my tongue around to show her I swallowed it. "Good, I'll see you tomorrow then." She shooed me away and I rushed out. I hope I haven't digested it yet.

I reached my house but I couldn't seem to remember what I was going to do. Ah yes, apply for a job. Now that I'm 18, I have to work for society to function. I had already been rejected six times for being too young, so let's hope the seventh time is the charm. After all, in Korea, the number seven is supposed to be lucky.
I scrolled through the job website, hoping that something interesting would pop up. Office job, office job, office job, secretary in an office. Does Korea only have offices?
Oh, wait, a waiter for a restaurant down the street. Though the pay seemed to be poor, it would suffice as a first job. And I could live off the money since all I had to buy was food, clothes and toiletries.
A long time ago, there used to be a thing called 'rent', but a lot of people struggled to pay it so we were all allocated a suitable living space for us and I now live in a well-lit apartment on the 3rd floor of a block of flats.
Well, let's hope I get the job. After all, I only had to act nice and I'd most likely get the job.
Let's hope I don't get angry at the owners again.
~~
"Jisung, you seem to be a nice kid, will you be alright serving tables here?" The owner asked during the interview. He wanted to interview me today since I had the time and the restaurant was closed today.
"Of course I will!" I replied.
He chuckled. "Sure, but I have to ask, why have you been rejected so many times? You're a hard-working kid by the looks of it and your age shouldn't stop you from getting at least one job."
I knew this would come up. "People say I have anger issues, but I can't remember any of my 'episodes'. I understand if you don't want to hire me anymore."
"Well, I won't know until I experience it! Jisung, if you'd like to work here, come here at 9 am and work!" He held out his hand for me to shake.
"Really? Thank you so much!" I shook his hand passionately.
"Remember, I'm just trialling you. If you do have one of your so-called 'episodes', I will have to, unfortunately, fire you."
END
This chapter is shorter compared to the other book, but once I get the story moving I can write a bit more! Hope you enjoyed it!
See if you can spot the one thing that will change this story completely!
