"Are you sure about that, Jisung?" Taeyong asked, bewildered at my request. Heck, was I even sure? "I literally told you how hard it would be for you. Did my words not make sense or something?"
"Or something." Johnny and I replied at the same time. Woah.
"Again, Jisung, are you sure you want to also train to be an Intel? You'll also be doing alchemist and hacker activities as well." He tried to reason with me.
"Why not? There's no harm in trying." I grinned. Well, I think I'm doing it then.
Johnny sighed. "This is just more paperwork for me then, isn't it?" Taeyong nodded. "I guess I'm not sleeping for the next 3 days. I'll get Jaemin to make some coffee." He walked away after picking up a small stack of papers off Taeyong's desk.
"You should go home and get some rest. Tomorrow will be a long day."
~~
And indeed it was. At 7am, someone burst into my room wearing black and carrying a gun. Oh wow, a gun.
The unknown person cocked and aimed it at my head. "Get up." They threatened quietly. Not that it would have mattered since I was the only one here. Sigh, it would be one of those days I guess.
I grabbed his hand and moved the gun to be pointing upwards. Then, I tackled him, to the floor, disarming him in the process. Now that his hands were free, he tried to pin me down onto the floor, which he did, but I flipped our positions and pinned him down.
"Who the fuck are you?" I snarled in his face. I wanted my beauty sleep and this man wasn't letting me have it.
"Ah jeez, why did Taeyong send me here so early? I didn't expect you to put up that much of a fight." He whined. Not what I expected from some weird assassin person.
"Taeyong? You know him?" I gripped his wrists tighter. Was he lying to me as some sort of tactic or did he really know him?
"Know him? I work for him! I can call him if you want proof!" He looked down into his pocket. "Or, I can - SUNGCHAN!"
Before I knew it, another man, who wasn't as disguised as the man on the floor, came running into my room and rugby tackled me. Right into the corner of my dresser.
"Fuck!" I yelled when my shoulder came into contact with the furniture. The man in black regained his composure, grabbed a knife and pointed it at my neck. Well, it was already making a small slit, a drop of blood trickled down my neck but it was the least of my problems.
"Sungchan, call Taeyong. He obviously doesn't believe me." He sighed. The other man (boy?) grabbed his phone and dialled a number.
A few rings later, the receiver answered. "Sungchan, what is it?" A tired voice called out, one that I recognised.
"Taeyong, tell this kid that we know you so he can stop making a mess and get to HQ."
"Hendery, is that you?" I guess it was Taeyong. "Jisung, can you hurry and come to HQ? I did tell you it would be a long day." Then he hung up. HQ? Did he mean the restaurant?
"Now hurry up and get dressed. We'll get you a bagel on the way or something. I'll give you five minutes." The mysterious man - who I learned was Hendery - removed the knife from my neck and left the room with Sungchan, leaving me to dress.
I blinked a few times. Did that just happen?
"Alright, alright, let's get up then." I mumbled to myself. I pushed myself up to stand and somehow, I felt a sharp pain on my left ankle and just fell onto the floor. "Ow... the heck?"
