Prologue

"Doc. Kailangan ka daw sa ER." one of the nurses said while I am doing some paper works.

I am checking some medicines and answering some calls for the pharmaceutical companies to provide us new medicines.

Since I am the Doctor and the CEO of a hospital. I'm kind of busy but I learned to managed my time and balanced it, after I met that certain someone. I am used some hard works because of my experience and my father also taught me to master my field. It was hard but I am trying my best to overcome it and came back home immediately.

While I am talking to some doctors about their patients condition. The entrance door on the ER suddenly opened.

The man holding a boy on his arms. Medyo namumula pa ang balat nito at parang nahihirapang huminga. I immediately run into them and make a move.

"What happened to him?" I asked, calmy.

Kinuha ko ang batang lalaki sa kanya at agad na pinaupo sa emergency bed.

"Allergic reaction." natatarantang sabi ng lalaki habang may tinitipa sa kanyang telepono.

I don't know what's gotten into me but I felt so nervous holding the child's arm. He's badly having hard time breathing but he is closing his eyes to concentrate on his breathing. His smart huh.

The nurse behind me noticed that I am shaking a little, agad nyang kinuha ang injection sa akin at sya na ang gumawa. The child bit his lower lip to endure the pain. Unti-unti din syang inihiga sa kama.

I am always calm whenever I'm checking on my patient but this time is... Different.

Ako na ang kumuha ng papel para sa application. Binigay ko iyon sa lalaki at tinanggap nya ito at sinimulan ng magsulat. Siguro ay kakatapos nya lang din sa kanyang katawag. Agad nyang binigay sa akin matapos nyang sulatan iyon at nilapitan ang batang lalaki.

I stared on the papers. We have the same allergies. His surname is familiar. The same as hers. The woman whom I love. Why I have this doubtful feeling? Tumingin ako sa bata at nakitang natutulog na ito. Agad akong lumapit sa kanila. His guardian looks calm than earlier.

"I'll be right back." paalam ko sa lalaki pero ang aking paningin ay nasa batang mahimbing na natutulog.

"Salamat, Dok"

I immediately turn my back. It feels like my head is aching because of the child's familiar face. On my way to my office, nakasalubong ko ang nurse na nag-inject sa batang lalaki kanina.

"Salamat kanina."

"Naku Dok Okay lang. Natural lang naman na manginginig tayo kapag anak natin ang napahamak." she even laughed.

My brows furrowed.

I was about to talked but one of the Doctor's called her. Binaliwala ko nalang ang sinabi nya at bumalik na sa opisina. Agad akong umupo at hinilig ang aking ulo sa upuan.

That kid is very familiar to me.

The door suddenly opened and it was my father.

"Son. I'm going to US tomorrow to manage our hospital branch there. I can count on you in here, right?"

I sighed.

"Yes."

"Okay then. Aalis na ako. I'm going to packed my things. I just came here to tell you this."
