Chapter 26- Will She Say No?!

It's the last week in 2026, and its about to be a new year. Time to push every bad thing beside, and start off fresh. The gang has been rolling strong, which isnt surprising. They've been through their ups and downs as friends. The couples have had their ups and downs as well.

They're in the Lodge Lodge and they're just sitting their, conversing, the usual.

"Guys, why did my mom just tell me that shes bisexual?" Ronnie said looking at everyone who was shocked

"She just told you that?" Betty asked shocked and chuckling a little bit

"Yeah, but I honestly been knew. She would always like be weird when I talked about her getting a boyfriend and stuff." Veronica explained

"Do you know if shes dating anyone?" Toni asked

"No, but she's been going out sooo much lately. Like one day, she went out for a whole week and only texted me like 3 times. And when she texted, it was in one day to tell me she was on her way home. Whoever this person is, they have her whipped." Veronica confessed

As Veronica was saying this, Cheryl was thinking the same thing was happening with her mom. She didnt want to think it, but she had to say something.

"I don't even want the image in my head. But, my mom have been doing the same exact thing." Cheryl said shaking her head in embarrassment

"You don't think..." Veronica said with a disgusted face

"That our moms are dating one another?" Cheryl said giving the exact same disgusted face

"Oh. My. Gosh. That was...." Josie began to say until Toni finished the sentence

"Unexpected." Toni said chuckling at the interaction and the conversation topic

"Do you think they're going to tell us?" Veronica asked

"They most likely will, but who knows when that'll be." Cheryl said shrugging fully giving up on life

New Year's Week

Toni's been planning to propose to Cheryl for the longest, ever since high school. She stalled it out as long as she could. She planned on proposing on New Year's Day, in front of everyone.

She didnt want to tell anyone but, she had to because it wouldnt work out right.

She planned on at the New Year's party, they were going to be just relaxing, drinking, or whatever they were going to do. She would go to the bathroom before the countdown. She would hope for Cheryl to follow her. Cheryl would hear her "on the phone" with somebody else. Cheryl would hear Toni say, 'I love you' and more.

Cher would then return to the party and she would feel down. Toni would sneak out and get on one knee while they say '3, 2, 1, Happy New Year's' and everyone would turn around and act shocked. Cher would turn around and she'll see Toni on one knee.

This plan wouldnt work without the help of everyone because, Ronnie runs the La Bonne Nuit,  Betty is her cousin, Penelope's her mom, Jason's her brother, and you get the point.

Saturday (New Year's Eve)

Everything's planned and it's about 4 o'clock. Cheryl and Toni leave to the La Bonne Nuit at about 7 o'clock.

"Babe!!" Toni called

"Yeah?!" Cheryl responded

"Can you wear a dress or something for tonight?" Toni asked in a slightly lower voice as she came upstairs
