Chapter 29- Are You Ready?!

Toni and Cheryl left the hospital after 3 weeks of being in there. They've been making sure Toni's able to conceive a baby, which she is. Toni's been doubting herself ever since the accident. She thinks that something will happen to her and then it'll be her fault they cant have kids.

She wants to make sure Cher gets what she deserves. Toni want Cheryl to have kids, she just doesnt want anything to go south. She wants to be the perfect mother, but she doesnt think she knows how to. She personally knows its going to take a while to get used to it, but shes going to try, for Cheryl at least.

Cheryl's been there for Toni every step of the way. She assures her wife that everything's going to be okay. That its going to be fine and she doesnt have to worry. She tries what she can to reassure Toni that if anything happens she'll always be there and nothing will change that. Honestly, that makes Toni even more stressed. To know that even if something goes wrong with the pregnancy, Cheryl would be there.

It stresses her out because if Toni cant have a baby, Cheryl will be there for her and she wouldnt get anything in return.

Toni's also been secure about her body. She has scars, bruises, she wears casts and has to walk with crutches. She doesnt feel confident with herself anymore. She doesnt feel like the Toni Topaz who Cheryl fell in love with. The Toni Topaz who's the amazing photographer and Serpent queen. All the good things that has happened to her, she doesn't even want to think about, or at least she cant think about it.

Toni feels bad about herself now. Shes not who she used to be, all because of someone else. But, she doesnt blame it on them, she blames it on herself. She thinks that if she didnt go in the arm rest, it wouldnt have happened. She disregards what people say about her. They say shes the most bravest person they've met, Toni doesn't believe them. They say shes beautiful and always will be, she doesnt believe them.

They say they'll never leave her side, and like before, she doesnt believe them.

2 weeks later...

Toni and Cheryl are going to the sperm bank to pick their sperm donor. They picked a red head guy, hes mixed, black, white, Cuban, Irish, and Columbian. He has Cheryl's  hair color and Toni's skin. They know that they wont be able to have the baby look like Cher and Toni so they found somebody who resembles them in some type of way. They began their IVF journey and they wait it out.

2 months later...

Its 2 months later and it's time for Toni to take her pregnancy test. Cheryl isnt home because she had to run some errands. Toni decided to do it when she was gone because she wanted time to process whatever results came out.

She grabbed the Clearblue pregnancy test and entered the bathroom. She peed on the stick and waited about 5 minutes. She slowly picked up the test and looked at it. She looked and saw 2 dark lines. She couldnt believe her eyes. Both of the pregnancy tests had 2 dark lines. She started to tear up. She started crying. She couldn't believe she was going to bring a blessing into this world.

She just sat in the bathroom, on the floor, crying tears of joy. She hasn't cried them in so long. She was just amazed.

Cheryl came home about 45 minutes later. Toni had stopped crying but her eyes were a bit red, not noticable, but they were red. Cheryl came in and went upstairs to where to was at. Toni was in the bedroom on her phone rubbing her stomach. Cheryl came in and smiled at the sight. She got on the bed and kissed Toni on her head then snuggled into her.

They laid there for about 15 minutes and Toni got up to go to the bathroom. When she entered, she put the pregnancy tests on the bathroom shelf and sat on the toilet seat. Then she called Cheryl in.

"Babeeeee." Toni yelled into the room

"Yeah?" Cheryl responded

"Can you hand me something off this shelf?" Toni asked

"Yeah coming." Cheryl said as she walked to the bathroom.

"Where is it?" Cheryl asked looking at Toni

"The one second shelf wrapped in tissue." Toni said pointing to it. Cheryl grabbed it and one of the pregnancy tests fell out. She looked at Toni then picked it up. She saw that it had two lines and she instantly teared up.

"Are you...Cheryl said as she looked up at a teary eyed Toni

"Pregnant? Yeah. I'm pregnant." Toni said shaking her head rapidly getting up to hug Cheryl.

They shared a love and emotional love. Both of the girls crying tears of joy and kissing each other. Cheryl put Toni down and planted an emotion and love filled kiss. Both girls smiled into it and hugged again. Each one with tears of joy flowing out of their eyes.

They exited the bathroom and Cheryl stopped the pair. Toni turned towards her wife as she looked at her. Cheryl knelt down and lifted Toni's hoodie up and kissed her stomach.

"I love you." Cheryl whispered onto Toni's stomach as Toni smiled

"You're going to have the best mamas." Cheryl said again as she started to get emotional again. Toni lifted her up so they could be face-to-face with each other. She pulled Cheryl in for a kiss and pulled away from it smiling.

"Are you ready?" Toni asked Cheryl

"Ready for what?" Cheryk asked slightly confused

"For the life we're about to have." Toni said chuckling

"I don't think so." Cheryl said cautiously as she laughed as well.

"I love you." Cheryl told Toni as she stood up straight.

"I love you too." Toni responded

The girls walked to the bed, Toni getting on before Cheryl and they laid there. Watching TV, but both minds being on their soon to be born child. Cheryl's mind on the future action she was going to pursue. Smiling at the thought and snuggling more into Toni. Even though Toni was pregnant, she was till the more dominant one and she didnt mind, so Cheryl was always the big spoon unless the roles changed.

They watched TV until Toni heard small snores from her wife. She smiled and kissed her on top of her head causing Cher to move a little and settle back down. She chuckled and laid her head on top of Cheryl's.

"What did I do to deserve this life?" Toni said in a quiet voice as she closed her heavy eyes.

The girls closed their eyes and slept not knowing what the days in future would bring. They dreamt about one another and their futures.

I'm sorry for updating this so late. Other stories came into play and you know how that can get. This was in my drafts for a while and I dont even know why I didnt publish it. There will be more happy moments to make up for the tragic even that happened. But until further notice, see you next time.
