INTRODUCTION

Hey, So, I'm Ufaq, 19 years old Indian Muslim. Introvert and very awkward. I love to write. Especially light-hearted stories, so it can make someone smiles. I love smiling faces ^-^

What inspired you to start writing?
My inspiration... Actually, Harry Potter, it was the first book which I read and made me realize how much I love reading. After it, I started reading more. And one fine day, I thought why not should I write too. So I always give this credit to Harry Potter ❤️.

When did you start writing?
11 or 12, I don't exactly remember.

Have you always wanted to be a writer?
Maybe. I don't know how to answer this 😅.

What comes first the plot or the Characters?
Sometimes, characters... Sometimes, plots... But mostly Characters. And the funny part is, characters always comes in my mind when I like a name. I heard a name, liked it, now imagines what kind of person that name would be... Then I gave them a story.

When you're writing an Emotional, Sad, Romantic scene, how did you get in the mood?
Romance. Writing romantic scenes is the most hardest part of a story. Especially when you don't have experience in this. I mean, according to me, if you are writing a scene... it is more enjoyable when you have experienced those emotions.

Believe it or not, But I try to get myself in that mood. If I'm writing emotional scenes, I imagine myself in that place and that pretty much gets me in the mood.

What was your most favorite part and least favorite part of the publishing Journey?
Most favourite part is when I'm writing a new chapter and this is also the least favourite one. I'm not kidding, I think my fellow writers would agree 😭.

Did you find it more challenging to come up with your First Book?
I have still not completed my first book 🤣😭. Yes, first book of yours has a little (actually huge.) part of you, this is the most important book of yours, you always want the first book to be per-fect. So, first book is always the hardest to write. After it, you kinda get experience and also what kind of thing you should write.

How many books have you written? And which is your Favorite?
13 books and I have stopped counting how many stories I have written after Katti Batti.

Which of your books where most enjoyable to write?
Dillagi. Without a doubt or pause, Dillagi was the most enjoyable to write. It has every emotion, varies kind of characters and many plots. This was very fun to write. And I think this was also the most lovable story of mine. These days, I'm enjoying writing Sharar 😉😊

Tell us few things about your first book? What was the journey like?
We don't talk about Our Journey because it is still incomplete, unpublished, still drafting 😭

What advice would you give a new writer, someone just starting out?
New writers, old writers, I always give them one advice, Write what you enjoy, never run after what is popular. Write the kind of story which you like to read. And write for yourself. (This is more than one advice😬😅.)
