A/N: you get another ghostbur chapter before Welcome home theseus and all that. Why? Because I feel like it. Also the song is connected to this chapter...kinda. but even if its not, you should still listen to it because its really good.

Before Tommy's exile.

Ghostbur was walking along.

Just going around.

He didn't know where he was going or what he was doing....

All he knows is that he...was chasing something.

He thinks so anyways.

He climbed down into the big crater that was once L'manberg.

He looked around.

And just walked.

Eventually he stumbled upon something.

A wither skull.

He picks it up.

He doesn't know what it reminds him of.

He can't remember how L'manberg even became a crater in the first place.

Then he gets a flash of that room Phil killed him in.

His eyes go blue for a second.

He remembers...but only for a second.

He accidentally drops the skull. It breaks on impact.

Then he gets a flash of Techno just then.

"Tommy?" Techno asked holding the withers skeleton skull.

 "Yeah?" Tommy answered...he didn't exactly know what was happening. Techno made the T... for the withers...but surely he wouldn't...

"Do you think you're a hero? Is that what this is?" Techno asked his brother. Techno seemed cold and distant. More than ever.

"I just wanted... I just wanted L'Manburg." Tommy answered...he just wanted what used to be.

"You just wanted power." Techno said. He knew Tommy didn't care about him anymore. I mean...Tommy denounced their brothership so...what was the point anymore then? There was no need to be nice to him.

"That's all I've ever wanted. I didn't- I just wanted..." Tommy said looking at the ground. He didn't want this.

"Tommy, you just did a coup. You just did a hostile government takeover and then immediately instilled yourself as president. And then you gave it to your friend, but that's still a tyrant, Tommy...But the thing about this world, Tommy..." Techno paused for a few seconds. Tommy looked over to him. He was scared.

He for once...had no control.

"is that good things don't happen to heroes. Let me tell you a story, Tommy. A story of a man called Theseus. His country... well his city-state, technically, was in danger. And he sent himself forward into enemy lines, he slayed the minotaur, and saved his city. Do you know what they did to him?" Techno was telling the story of Theseus. Not knowing that this would be...painfully close to their very real future.

The minotaur being Schlatt. He went head on. He won the war, he saved everyone from the dictatorship.

"...They exiled him." Techno saying coldly.
