Chapter 61 - Finale

JENNIE POV

"Mom? Ms. Hwang?" I said, almost a whisper.

I didn't let Lisa let go of my hand. I tightened my grip on hers. I looked at Lisa and she's like she'd seen a ghost.

"Mrs. Kim, Ms. Hwang." Lisa bowed down to them and so do I.

"We brought some food for you." My mom said nicely and lift up the plastic bags. "Let's eat."  She and Ms.  Hwang looked to the three of us before walking towards the kitchen.

"I'm so nervous, oh god.." Lisa said with her shaking voice and she pursed her lips and shut her eyes.

"Shhh.. Relax, Lili." I wiped the sweats that formed on her temples using my thumb.

"Me too, i'm nervous as hell." Jisoo whispered and placed her hands on her chest.

We then entered the kitchen and helped them to place some plates and glasses on the table.

My mom sits at the head of the table and Ms. Hwang sits at the other end. I'm sitting besides Lisa while Jisoo place herself across from us. Chaeyoung is still not here and she's still busy doing her solo.

We then started to eat Tteokbokki or stir-fried rice cakes when Ms. Hwang broke the silence.

"We have some bad news and good news to tell you." She spoke and my heart started to pump very fast. "What do you girls want, good or bad first?"

The three of us looked at each other and we can talk with our eyes.

"Bad." We answered in unison.

"Alright then.." Ms. Hwang sipped her water first before speaking again.

"Due to pandemic, all concerts are banned. We can't do any physical concerts this year." She stated. "But we are planning to do an online concert."

Ugh. This covid-19 has a bad impact in music industry!

"We understand, Ms. Hwang." Jisoo said while nodding her head.

"And Mrs. Kim will tell you the good news." Ms. Hwang looked at my mom who's chewing her food.

Lisa touched my legs and squeezed it gently. I placed my palm on top of her hand and caressed it to make Lisa relax.

My mom cleared her throat first before speaking, "I just want to say--.

"YAH! Bitches I'm hooommeee!!" I shut my eyes and hold my laugh when I heard Chae's voice.

"All my love is goOoOone, now you're dead and ohhh shit.." Chaeyoung stopped singing and her eyes went wide when she saw my mom and Ms. Hwang in the dining area. She's still holding her pink mini back pack and she's very confused.

"Oh god. H-hello g-good evening Mrs. Kim and Ms. Hwang." She bowed multiple times  and we can feel her embarrassment.

"Hi, Rosé, c'mon join us." Ms. Hwang smiled and patted the table.

Chaeyoung put down her bag on the ground as she sat beside Jisoo.

"As I was saying.." My mom wiped her lips with the tissue paper, "I just want to say sorry to you Jennie and Lisa."

All of us looked at my mom and waiting for her next words, "I refused to accept the fact that my only daughter is inlove with a woman."

I gulped really hard and Lisa tightened her gripped on my hand.

"But when I watched all of your recent interviews, photoshoots, and behind the scenes, I can really tell that Lisa makes you happy, Ruby Jane. Those eyes can't lie. The way you looked at each other shows how you really love each other."
