"Hey, kid, get up. You don't want to get the hose turned on you."
Jungkook groaned tiredly, pushing himself off the hard ground, the only padding he had to comfort him was another stray man's cardboard. "T-thank you, sir." Jungkook nodded, rubbing his eyes.
"Which job are you heading to first?" The man muttered, pulling the cardboard from underneath Jungkook to fold it up, he doesn't want it to get thrown away when the cleaners come down.
"Cafe and then the convenient store again." Jungkook muttered hoarsely while scratching the back of his head. He was so tired and completely not ready for work. His body wasn't keeping up with him.
"Thanks for the food last night. I'm gonna try and trade some bottle and cans for some money. If I make enough I'll treat you to ramen tonight." The man smiled caringly, patting Jungkook's dirty hair but the younger didn't mind so much.
"Y-you don't have too... I'm just happy to have someone take care of me. It's kinda scary." Jungkook bowed his head innocently pulling his small beaten down suitcase into his lap.
"You get used to it after a month in but I don't think someone like you should get used to it." The man laughed, shakily standing up, low in iron. "See you soon, Jungkook."
"B-bye, Sir." Jungkook bowed, watching the kind man limp off. "I-I have to get going too..."
Jungkook stood up and wheeled his broken bag behind him as he left the subway and climbed up out onto the surface. It was still dark but the morning should come soon enough. Although he had to kill a few hours, it's not like he could go anywhere however, no shops are opened as early as six in the morning unless they're a restaurant. It's not like he can really spend his money willy nilly.
Although the pain in his stomach told him he had to eat, even if it was small. He felt almost sick with his empty stomach.
Jungkook dug his hand deep into his pocket and pulled out some loose change. He quickly counted up the currency in his head. He has enough to buy some breakfast. "I need this."

"I will eat well." Jungkook thanked with a bow of his head towards the waitress. He picked up his chopsticks and picked at the pork strips frying in front of him, they looked so good.
Quickly he spooned the bowl of rice into his mouth but by bit alongside the dish of fresh kimchi in front of him. The food was so refreshing.
"Hey, can I sit with you?"
Jungkook choked on his rice as he quickly looked up to see who was talking to him. Taehyung was his name if his mind was serving him correctly. The same kind man that tipped him so generously the previous day which is allowing him to eat so well that morning.
"Y-yes, of course." Jungkook coughed, showing the tall man the seat a crossed from him which Jungkook wanted him to take.
Gratefully, Taehyung took the seat and smiled sweetly at the brunet. "It's quite early for someone like yourself to be eating out."
"I-I can say the same thing to you!" Jungkook muttered defensively. He didn't really understand why he was being so defensive over a small comment the latter made but it just slipped out. Causing a blush to coat Jungkook's cheeks innocently.
"Touché," Taehyung giggled sweetly, grinning at the same waitress that served Jungkook bring food to Taehyung and place it right in front of the two. "I have my breakfast here before going to work, then for my lunch, I go down to the cafe you work at. Are you here for a similar reason I presume?"
Jungkook awkwardly nodded his head as he at some more of his food, avoiding eye contact with Taehyung. "Yeah... I was hungry so..."
Taehyung nodded, understanding what he meant. "You know... You're very handsome. I thought I should tell you." Taehyung smiled, making Jungkook tense up. Was he flirting? Was Jungkook supposed to flirt back? He was handsome, don't get the kid wrong but-
"I'm just stating the truth so you don't have to say anything back." Taehyung laughed, causing Jungkook to laugh awkwardly to make things seem not as weird.
"Jungkook. I'll be driving to work after this and since our workplaces are next to one another would you like a lift? It's a bit far and I don't want you to walk so early in the morning on your own, it can be dangerous." Taehyung asked sweetly but Taehyung's sweet honeydew voice made Jungkook panic and quickly turned the offer down.
"N-no thanks... I can walk. I need exercise..." Jungkook stuttered, not really wanting to say much else. He gets extremely nervous and anxious when with other people. Especially when he's on his own. Something like that can activate a panic attack for him. It would just be better this way for both parties in Jungkook's head.
Kim Taehyung, being the gentleman that he is nodded with a smile and let it be. He can always try to get closer to Jungkook later so he didn't want to push him into something he doesn't want to do. "No worries, it's fine. Although I'll be stopping by at my usual time at the cafe so tell Jimin to get my 'coffee' ready." Taehyung said using air quotes.
"Sure thing." Jungkook nodded, finishing up his meal and getting ready to leave. "T-thanks for keeping me company." Jungkook bowed before running away so Taehyung couldn't get a word in. Although Taehyung found that so endearing and awed at the boy.
"He's so cute."
