Jungkook checked his phone and checked the time. His dying phone was on its last legs as its battery reached single digits. The train station was empty except for the few workers monitoring the hallways occasionally to make sure nothing illegal was taking place on their turf. Part of him regrets taking the earliest train possible at four in the morning but it was also the cheapest ticket available because of how few people boarded it. That is what led him to stand in the train station at currently half five in the morning. The sky is still black but you can see the streaks of gold striking through the dark colours painting the sky. It will officially be daytime in less than an hour.He let out a sigh. His breath caused a white fog to fight against the cold winds. Skin pale as he was left waiting for approximately ten minutes as of now with noting to keep him warm except for his worn down padded jacket with the padding nearly completely deteriorated witching the fabric. He was too scared to check his phone to see if any more time passed by in case his phone was to give up on him before Taehyung arrives.
He promised Jungkook that no matter what he'd be the one to collect him from the station. However, Jungkook's fear we're getting the better of him and he was now contemplating whether or not he was getting stood up. Before he had any more time to let his thoughts run freely in his head, his phone buzzed in his tattered jean pocket. He quickly pulled it out and was grateful when he saw Taehyung's name flash on the screen. Without a doubt, he answered the call wishing a heartbeat and his first words rung through Taehyung's ear. "Taehyung?" He asked as he continued to look in his surroundings in case Taehyung has arrived.
"Jungkook, I just pulled up to the station now. I think I can see you? Turn around, I'm standing outside of the car." Taehyung spoke, causing Jungkook to do a one-eighty turn and instantly went up on his tiptoes to see Taehyung over in the distance. Instantly, Jungkook's exterior brightens. A small tugging at his lips as he watches Taehyung come over to him to help the latter with his suitcase. Although it wasn't necessarily heavy, it was awkward to carry because of its broken wheels. That just made Jungkook fall for his chivalrous charms all over again. He doesn't know how he got so lucky. Maybe it was to make up for all the hardships he went through from a young age.
"How was the trip? Did you have a good time?" Taehyung asked. Wrapping his arm around Jungkook's shoulder as he held the suitcase in the other. Placing an innocent kiss on the cheek and hissed when he felt how cold Jungkook's skin felt against his lips. "You're so cold! Let's get into the car quickly."
Jungkook smiled as he could still feel the little tingle on his face where he was kissed. The first bit of warmth he's felt in the span of two days. He never realised how much he missed it. "It was good. My friend took care of me. It was nice to see everyone." Jungkook muttered under his breath while his head slowly fell onto Taehyung's shoulder. "I missed you."
"I missed you too. Don't worry, I have someone to cover for me at work so we can spend the whole day together." Taehyung smiled at the younger, pulling him closer to him before the two separated to get into the car. Taehyung first put the younger's luggage in the booth before joining Jungkook upfront.
At first glance, he could tell how tired Jungkook was. His eyes were heavy and would close occasionally, he struggled to keep them open. Taehyung couldn't help but awe. He reached into the back from the driver's seat and pulled out a wooden blanket, draping it over Jungkook's tuckered out body. Jungkook's eyes opened momentarily to look up at Taehyung as he was getting tucked into his seat. "I'll put on the heating. Sleep and I'll wake you up when we reach my place."
"No... I want to talk to you more." Jungkook whined, however, it wasn't long before his eyes fell shut again.
Taehyung couldn't help but be moved by the sight. He brushed back the hair out of the younger's eyes before placing one last kiss on his forehead. "Please rest now, we have so much time to talk together later."
