The sky was an orangey pinky colour because of the sunset. I walked down the footpath. There was a light breeze that drifted past me moving my hair out of my face. I took a deep breath and sighed. I couldn't shake the feeling of guilt I had inside of me. Jai & Beau probably hate me now because of the pain I had caused thier brother. Gina probably hates me as well. I almost killed her son. Even though he's not dead, doctors don't even know if he will wake up. He could be in a coma forever. And it would be all my fault.

I guess I got to deep into my thoughts, because I relised I was walking in a foresty type of area. There was a small pond and I decided that I would go and sit there. I threw rocks onto the water, watching them bounce a couple times and then disappearing into the dark blue abyss. It was getting dark, but I didn't mind. Small fireflies began to form around the area, giving the area a yellow glow. It was beautiful. The water slightly moved with the breeze, the buzzing of the bugs, the chirping of crickets and the sound of frogs began to flood the area around me. Stars started to appear in the dark sky above. I felt like all my worries had vanished. After what seemed like hours I wandered back to the hospital. I put my hand on the door and was ready to push it opened. I closed my eyes for a moment and reassured myself that everything was going to be okay before opening the door and making my way up the stairs.

Once I reached the outside of Lukes room I knocked on the door and waited until I heard a faint women's voice tell me to come in.
I entered the room. It was still white, boring and dull. Jai was still siting beside Luke. He was still crying. Luke still had blood on his face and around his eyes, but his bruises looked more purple and developed. Beau was sat in the corner of the room. His piercing green eyes had faded and he looked like he had been crying. He looked up and me and gave me a slight smile. I returned the gesture and looked over to Gina. Her brown eyes looked dull and sad. She was crying. I walked up to her and gave her a reassuring hug. We all waited in the room for hours. It was silent. The only thing that was heard was the constant beeping of the machine Luke was hooked up to and everyone's occasional sniffling. "Attention all visitors, visiting hours have now closed, please make your way to the nearest exit" Boomed a lady's voice over the loudspeaker. We all stood up and said our goodbyes to Luke, even though he didn't reply. "Come and stay the night at our house." Gina offered. "Oh no no it's okay I don't want to be an inconvenience" I replied. "Please stay" Jai interrupted, his lifeless sad eyes piercing my soul as a tear rolled down his face. I wiped it away with my thumb and gave him a small nod.

We arrived at Ginas house and everyone walked inside. Beau hadn't said a word for the whole night. He whispered a faint goodnight as he went up the stairs into the room. Gina hugged both me and Jai and made her way to her room also, leaving Jai and I in the middle of the dark living room. Jai grabbed my hand and slowly led me to him and Lukes shared room. He closed the door and I got under the covers of his bottom bunk. He walked over to his dresser and took off his shirt and jeans, leaving him in his boxers. He turned the light off and I felt the bed dip beside me. Jai snaked his muscular arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him as he whispered a soft goodnight in my ear sending shivers down my neck. "Goodnight" I barely replied as we both began to drift off to sleep.
