"Luke, what was all that about?" I asked, breaking the silence. "Jaiimy is lying" he shrugged simply. I looked around. Was this linked with Jai earlier? Did he know something that I didn't? "you believe me don't you?" He leant across the table and put his

hand on top of mine. I hesitated, pulling away. "Hope, you know what Jaiimys like" "yeah I suppose" I sighed, relaxing slightly. Luke smiled, sipping at the remainder of his drink. "So , shall we go and do something?" I asked. "Sorry Hope, I have to go somewhere. You will be okay walking yourself home won't you?" "Can't you call It off?" I asked getting irritated at his sudden change of plans. "It's important" he said, standing up. "What's important enough to just leave me?" I shouted louder, making Luke raise his eyebrows. "Come on, don't you trust me?" He said, gritting his teeth together. "Yes, I do" "then why can't I go sort this out and you can sleep over at mine tonight?" I sighed, slumping my shoulders back in an attempt to be angry. "I'll see you later babe" he said, kissing my cheek. My face started to burn as I blushed from his remark. "See you later then" I whispered gently.

I made my way out of the mall, I was confused by a lot of things between me and Luke. "Hope" I heard someone shout from behind me. I turned around quickly to see Jai walking towards me. "Jai, listen, I'm so sorry" I started. "It's okay" he cut me off with a hug. I hugged back as he talked Into my ear. "Can we talk now, it's really important" I furrowed my eyebrows as we pulled away from the hug "sure" I smiled, giving in.

We sat on a nearby bench and Jai turned to face me "Luke's been seeing Jaiimy" was all he said. Wait..was Jaiimy telling the truth? I felt a familiar lump in my throat and I coughed back my tears. Everything adds up. "He cheated on me?" I questioned, staring into Jais eyes. "Yes, and I tried telling you but people kept stopping me and the think is Luke will always be the player." He swallowed, wrapping his arms around me. I leant my head on his shoulder and breathed deeply. "Can you walk me home?" I really want to be alone, so I can think. "Yeah" he agreed, standing up. I followed him as we made our way back to my house, I had a lot of planning to do, no one fucks with me and gets away with it.

"I'm so sorry that I had to blurt it to you" Jai said, breaking the awkward silence on the short walk home. "No, I understand" was all I could say.

"Bye Jai" I whispered as I ran to my front door, as soon as I was in the house I locked the door and ran into the living room. I began to cry, why did I let myself fall for him? I knew what he really was. My phone buzzed and I was Lukes caller ID. I quickly answered it, shakily pressing it towards my ear. "Hey Hope" "hi" I coughed "Can we call of tonight? It's just-" "save it" I cut him off. "What?" "Don't sit here and lie to me, I know what has been going on with you and Jaiimy and we are over" I sighed, hanging up the phone call, I wiped a tear away from my eye and stood up. I'm not letting him hurt me like this.
