(S2E9) Flaws and All

Drizzle opened the door to Ken's house before being immediately tackled into a hug by Violet. The Vaporeon looked at his older sister in surprise as she nuzzled his cheek.

"Where have you been for the past two days?" The Espeon asked, looking at her brother worredly. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, I'm okay." The shiny Vaporeon smiled nervously, looking back at her. "Why would I do that to myself? Now I'm just some stereotype. No one has to know. I regret doing that, and it never has to be mentioned."

"Drizzle's back?" Tyler asked, walking into the room. "You doing okay, dude? Lizzie came up to me all worried asking if I'd seen you pass."

"Where is Lizzie, anyway?" The shiny Vaporeon asked, looking around the room. "And Aiden's not here, either..."

"Well you see..." Violet stepped away from her younger brother.

With Aiden...

"You take a deep breath in..." Lizzie spoke, inhaling large amounts of air. "...Then you release!" She exhaled the air, shooting out a small Flame thrower from her mouth. "Simple as that."

"I told you, I don't want to fight." The male Flareon shook his head sheepishly. "I don't want to use my fire, either."

"Why don't you want to use it, Sunny?" The shiny Flareon tilted her head in inquiry. "Are you even able to use it?"

"I don't know if I am, and I don't want to find out." Aiden let out a sigh. "Not if it means hurting the ones closest to me. Not if it means hurting Big bro... Or Sky."

"Sky's that girlfriend you talked about, isn't she?" Lizzie walked over to Aiden, her feet brushing against the many blades of grass below. The male Flareon nodded in response. "And you have an older brother, too?"

"Yeah..." He nodded, sitting down on the grass. "He's a Jolteon. When our parents died, he was the only one taking care of me. Even though I knew he was tired, he just kept acting like everything was fine."

"When we met Sky and the others, things were okay again." The Flareon sighed, "But Big bro began to leave a lot for research, though."

"Yeah that happens, Sunny." The female Flareon nodded, sitting next to Aiden. "But your older brother's gotta do what he's gotta do."

"I know." Aiden looked at Elizabeth. "It's just so... Confusing..." The Flareon put his head in his fur. "...I need an adult..."

"I am an adult."

Both Flareon screamed and jumped away, only to see Ken standing there with a deadpan expression.

"When did you get here?" Aiden asked shakily, resisting the urge to run away. "I thought you were on your morning walk."

"I was, but then I saw you two." The male Leafeon answered, looking at he duo. "Oh and Drizzle's home, by the way."

"He's home? Yay!" The female Flareon dashed off.

Meanwhile...

As Elizabeth tackled Drizzle to the floor happily, Violet secretly pulled Tyler upstairs. The Umbreon gave a confused expression as the Espeon pulled him into their room and closed the door.

"You okay, Vio?" Tyler asked before he was wrapped into a sudden hug. "...Is something wrong? What happened?"

"...I saw something." The Espeon spoke softly, nuzzling into his chest.

"W-What are you talking about?" The Umbreon sat down on the bed, still hugging Violet. The Espeon sat in between Tyler's legs as she let out a shaky sigh. "What did you see?"
