At night, Drizzle dipped the knife into the pond, his expression filled with worry. He let out a shaky exhale before pulling the knife from the pond and throwing it to the side. He reached into his bag before quickly wrapping a bandage on his wrist.
"I shouldn't have done that..." He spoke, "How am I supposed to hide this?" The Vaporeon dug through his bag with his right paw before pulling out a leather glove. Drizzle nodded before putting it on, covering the bandage.
The shiny Vaporeon quickly scanned his surroundings, trying to make sure that there was no one watching, especially Violet.
Drizzle let out a sigh of relief as he looked up to the sky above. "...I'll keep this on, until I heal."
Meanwhile...
There was another Eeveelution looking up to the sky, counting the countless stars above her. It was a familiar Umbreon, who splashed a bit of water on her face after drinking it. It was Rose, who sighed before eating a berry nearby in a tree.
Ever since her fight with Aiden a week prior, she had a lot of time to think to herself, stuck in the forest. She was away from her parents and summer home, where she had been living for a while.
But she had been too ashamed to go home. Too ashamed to look her mother in the eyes and tell them why she had been gone for so long. And besides, she'd probably get hit by her Mom again. Rose looked over to her tail, which was battered and a bit bloody from her altercation with the enraged Flareon.
Her tail hurt to the touch, so she decided to wait until it hurt less in the future.
She groaned in exasperation as she looked around the dark forest. A cold wind blew by, making Rose's tail hurt slightly.
But deep down, she wasn't surprised that her life turned out this way. Ever since she decided to attack Aiden at school, she knew where she was going to end up.
All alone.
But then why was she feeling so bad? If she knew this was going to happen, why was there a hole in her heart?
"I'm so stupid..." Rose looked into the puddle at herself before it began to rain lightly. "...Why can't I just let her go?"
Beginning of Flashback
A younger Rose was pushed into a wall by an Eevee older than her. "...What'd you just say to me?"
The five year old Eevee was walking home from her Kindergarten class that day. That was the day that started it all. The day she met Skylar.
"I-I just said that your fur was a little messy..." She replied sheepishly, cowering in fear. "It has crushed berries in it."
Apparently, that Eevee was walking home from a failed date, and was irritable and crestfallen. The Eevee began to charge a Shadow Ball in his mouth.
"Hey! Leave her alone you big meanie!" A feminine and slightly agitated voice yelled. "She didn't do anything to you!" the two looked over to see a small Eevee wearing a pink bow, standing behind him, pouting childishly. When she saw the Eevee's enraged expression, she immediately became concerned. "Are you okay, mister?"
He sighed, looking down. "I'm sorry. I'm just... Getting home after walking into my girlfriend cheating on me." He looked away. "She didn't take it well, as you can see." He gestured to the fur in his tail.
"Well there are tons of Pokémon out there for you, you just gotta look a little more!" The cheerful Eevee smiled, patting his back. "She just couldn't see how special you really are!"
