Chapter 7

"Damn it Malfoy how many times do I need to tell you I can see you stealing 500 from the bank," I barked at him at his third attempt to steal money.

"Whatever," He huffed as he returned the cash. I rolled my eyes and moved my small dog 4 spaces. After quickly checking and realizing that I was currently on one of his spaces with a hotel on it I tried not to bring any attention to it, handing him the dice and smiling. He smiled back and held out his other hand.

"2000 please," He smirked and moved his pointer and middle fingers back and forth, waiting for me to give him the money. I groaned and grabbed 2000, shoving it into his hand.

"Fuck off I'm done playing this game," I stood up and sat on the couch. He grabbed for his side pocket where his wand would normally be.

"How the hell are we supposed to put away the game without our wands," he looked at the board as if it would jump up and answer his question.

"Oh Malfoy I don't know maybe try your hands," I remarked, taking slight amusement in the fact that Daddys boy didn't know how to put away a board game.

Narrators POV

Malfoy began to place pieces in the any spot that was open. Quickly giving up he stood and sat next to Rosey on the couch. They sat in comfortable silence for a moment.

"I'm going to bed," Rosey began to stand up.

"Rosey it's 8pm," Malfoy raised his eyebrows in question.

"I wake up early. And I'm tired," She countered and turned to walk to her room. Closing the door.

Malfoy gave in to sleep soon after.

His eyes flickered awake to the sound of footsteps on the roof. He reached for his wand, cursing under his breath when his hand fell onto the bedside table. The comfort of his stick of wood not there to help him. He wasn't super proficient in wandless magic, though he could do it if it was needed. He slowly slipped out of bed and walked outside, the cold air washing over him like a tidal wave. The sun hadn't risen yet but there were splashes of pink in the sky, beginning to emerge. He climbed onto the roof, finding Rosey in a light pink silk nightgown, her brown hair gently waving around her and she watched the sky. He slowly walked towards her, trying to make as minimal noise as possible. He crept up behind her and then tapped on her shoulder.

Before even looking to see who it was Rosey grabbed his leg and pulled, making him land with a dull thud on the roof. She twirled around and almost like a panther was quickly on top of him, her legs kneeling on either side of him and a hand quickly pressing down on his neck. He smiled coily at her, biting his lip gently.

She caught her breath and looked at him, exhaling when she found it was Malfoy under he death grip. She let go and got off of him, sitting back down.

"Don't do that unless you have a death wish," She scolded him. He slowly sat up and moved next to her.

"You woke me up. If I had my wand I would have killed you," His words had slight malice in them.

"Oh right you can't do wandless magic. How pathetic," She laughed at his inability to do something that she could.

He nodded thoughtfully and watched the sky. A large Malfoy crest appeared in the sky, shimmering and gold. Rosey blinked and stayed silent.

"Does that qualify as wandless magic," He smirked at her facial expression. Her brows were furrowed at the sky, trying to will for the giant crest to disappear.

She silently stood up and walked to the side of the roof, turning and crossing her arms before falling backwards. Malfoy cursed as her body disappeared and ran to the side. Her body bounced off of an invisible trampoline inches from the ground and landed on her feet, brushing off her nightgown before walking back into the cabin.

He shook his head and went back in as well, rummaging through the small mini fridge for some food. The TV clicked on and Professor McGonagalls face appeared on the screen.

"Good morning dears," She paused almost as if making sure all the prefects were watching from their respective cabins. Rosey slowly moved her head from the book she was reading to the screen, and Malfoy turned from the fridge. "The activities during the duration of this getaway will be team building, as you know. So we all thought the first one should probably be good one to be able to learn to trust your partner. Over night, your closets have been locked and switched. Meaning your other prefect has your clothes in their closet. Minus the essentials, such as underwear. There is a small hatch between your two rooms. You pull the hatch and put the clothes in the small elevator, then close it up and fasten the hatch. That will trigger the effects of the elevator, bringing it to you other prefects room. You have 15 minutes to get ready and will exit your rooms at the same time so you can both appreciate your creation," She stopped for a moment, acting as though this was the time to ask questions. She nodded and continued "I am aware your closets are special, and that is what makes it such a crucial and lovely trust exercise. Be at the mess hall by 9am, that's all," The screen shut off and Rosey slowly turned to face Malfoy.

"No fucking funny games," She demanded, pointing an accusing finger at him. He raised his arms and laughed.

"I guess you'll just have to trust me," He stood up and started to walk to his room.

Rosey exhaled and walked to her own room.

She rummaged through his closet, finding nearly only black items of clothing other than pajamas and a pair of sweatpants. She found a green button up and grabbed it quickly. She then snagged a pair of dress pants. She opened the hatch and put everything in. Stopping for a moment to think.

She had such a great opportunity, why is she wasting it? She walked over to her jewelry and picked through some options before finding a silver chain necklace. She nodded and put that in as well as a pair of cross earrings. She then closed the hatch and let it come through.

The small door beeped again and she opened it. Hesitant to see Malfoys pick. It was the shortest black plaid pencil skirt she owned and a green cropped tank top.

"I'm going to freeze," She yelled through the walls.

"At least you don't have to wear a chain," He shouted back. She grimaced and tugged it on.

A countdown from the tv began, signaling that they had all of 10 seconds to get in front of their doors before exiting.

The timer hit 0 and they both threw open their doors and faced each other, assessing their works.

Malfoy had rolled up his sleeves to his elbows and unbuttoned the green button up 2 buttons so you could see his chain. The shirt was tucked into his dress pants and gently fluffed out in some sections.

He watched Roseys uncomfortabilty in her own clothes.

"I look like a stripper," She put it bluntly, and spoke what they were both thinking.

"Then why did you have that skirt in your wardrobe to begin with," He raised an eyebrow at her and she rolled her eyes.

"It would've looked great with like a trench coat or a large jacket. Not with a god damn crop top," Her complaint only made him smile before offering his arm. She growled under her breath and took it, walking to the mess hall.
