Chapter 9

"This feels like i'm attending a bachelor party," Malfoy mumbled as I straightened his tie. I flattened his jacket a final time before stepping back to look at the final look. The same one he had been wearing all year. But instead of the staple turtleneck, I replaced it with a black button down with a green tie. I turned to the mirror next to the door and adjusted the cowl neckline on my black dress that ended at my upper thigh. My eyes roamed by body, analyzing every curve in the wrong place and every wrinkle or stretch mark you could see. I didn't even realize how long I was looking until Malfoys voice broke my thoughts.

"Stop thinking so loud," I had to say something. Those eyes were the same ones I saw in mothers. If Roseys mind was anything hers then she only had a few seconds before she wasn't coming back.

She blinked and her brown eyes widened. Her head shook a little before turning to look at me. Her smile that followed was forced, every muscle tensed in a way no smile should be.

I nodded a little before turning back to my room.

"No," His hand wrapped around my arm, pulling me back to the door.

"I just need to get a coat," I knew he could see through my smile but he let me go. I grabbed a mint green puffer coat and went back to the door.

"I guess I'll see you tonight. Don't do something that'll embarrass our house. Or if you do, please do us all a favor and get someone to video it," He nodded at my words and started to walk down the dark path lit by small lanterns to the left. And I went to the one to the right. It was 8pm and the challenge of the day had just begun. White lights flashed across the modern cabin. The slanted black roof and sleek box figure looking out of place in the woods. I walked into the large glass room to find a set up for what looked like a bachelorette party. The rest of the girls had already arrived and were standing in the middle of the room, looking around for any sort of sign that told us what we were supposed to be doing.

Materializing out of mid air was Professor Mcgonagal. She frowned at the confusion painting across all of our faces.

"Your final task is to have fun. I and the other professors will be out for the evening, the premises are secured but you may go anywhere you wish. Yelling the Wizard of Oz quote 'there's no place like home," will get you back to your respective cabins wherever you are. Good evening," She smiled and disappeared.

I smiled and hopped onto the pool table, sitting on the edge.

"It's occurred to me I don't know any of your names. Except Ms. Granger, the prodigy that no one dares to forget," I smiled and looked at Hermione, who blushed profusely.

"Hannah Abbott," The Hufflepuff girl stuck her hand out and smiled. I nodded, ignoring the hand, and looked at the Ravenclaw.

"Rosey that was rude, shake her hand," Hermione's matter of fact tone rang out and nearly gave me a headache. I looked back at Hannah, who looked slightly defeated. I moved my hand to cup her cheek.

"Darling I like you hufflepuffs better than anyone here, but I also know that you had all day to do whatever you wanted. Now I know that the chances you went foraging in that time is very high. And I do not care how much I love hufflepuffs. I refuse to contract a deadly disease from a fungus so close to the end of this trip," I smiled sweetly and she seemed to understand even if she didn't say anything. Although her face was so red from the contact I don't believe she could have made herself say something even if she wanted to. "Alright now who is our Ravenclaw,"

"Padma Patil," The girl held her ground, not even smiling as she answered.

Rosey hopped off of the table and advanced towards the poor girl in the blue sleeveless dress. She walked behind her and moved her hair behind her ear and leaned to whisper in it.

"You. Need to loosen up," She breathed before standing up . "Grab two of those shots that are on the bar," Rosey yelled to Hermione and Hannah, who quickly went to grab the pre prepared shots. The second they took the two, two more appeared.

"I don't. I really shouldn't- I mean I've never-" Padma was stuttering as Hermione handed Rosey one of the shots. Rosey poured the contents of the shot into her mouth and turned Padmas head to face her own. Leaning forwards she took Padmas mouth in hers. Moving the shot from one mouth to the other. She didn't pull away until Padmas throat bobbed, indicating she had swallowed.

"Now that wasn't so bad was it?" Rosey smirked at Padmas astonished face.

"You won't let us have a boring night will you," Hermione groaned as Rosey grabbed the second shot and downed it on her own.

"Ooo beer pong," Rosey smiled and wandered to the table. The other girls joined her as she picked up the ping pong balls. "Granger probably knows what this is," A quick look at Hermione's confused face told Rosey that she had no idea what it was. "Merlin really?" Hermione just shrugged in response. "Are you truly even a muggle born? Damn. Okay the rules are simple. You get the ping pong ball in one of the cups, your opponent downs what's in the cup. First one to get them all gone wins," Hermione and Padma moved to the other side, and Hannah stayed with Rosey.

The game progressed fast, both teams surprisingly proficient at making it into the cup. Turns out Hannah couldn't take the entire drink, so Rosey quickly fell into the habit of just taking the cup for the team. Hannah ended up winning the game for their team, cheering and jumping on Roseys back for a victory lap around the room. They collapsed onto the couch, and grabbed Hermione and Padma to fall with them.

"Confession time," Hannah squealed from somewhere in the limb of perfect girls.

"Ok sure, if it's boring though, you have to take a shot," Rosey used wandless magic to move the shots over to the coffee table. Everyone else nodded at her suggestion and looked at Hermione, wanting to know her confession.

"Well. I like Ron-"

"DRINK," The girls shouted at her and she frowned and took a shot from the table.

" I can't believe I'm telling you this. You guys know how Harry, Ron and I are friends right. Well over the summer we became really good friends," She paused, waiting for everyone to pick up the hint.

"Oh sweet helga not everyone here lives for riddles and books spit it the fuck out," Hannah shot at Hermione. Hermione nodded and took another shot from the table before completing her previous thought.

"Threesome," She gulped out before shouts and squeals emitted from all the participants of the game.

"Who was bigger," Rosey pressed, biting her lip.

"I need to be more drunk to answer that," Hermoine smiled and Rosey quickly shoved another shot into her hand.

"Ok my turn. I haven't told anyone yet but i'm bi. Oh and Nevilles hot," Hannah spoke, her words slightly slurring as a result of the alcohol. More cheers rang out before Padma took her turn.

By then Rosey had taken 1 too many shots, and her ability to withstand drinking had been overused. Voices blurred and slowly disappeared, and soon, her consciousness was gone as well.
