I am Travorus Gallus, a mage of the Circle of Aventhudel, I was a proficient mage and a senior enchanter before I started on what most of my colleagues considered absurd and some even mad. I spent two decades in the circle believing everything that was told to me until I came across a unique artifact brought to the circle by one of the travelling mages. It was a pendant which was undoubtedly magically enchanted but the mage who brought it said that he couldn’t feel any magic in it. I was surprised as I certainly felt the magic in the pendant and asked if I could borrow it. To my surprise the mage gave it to me for free saying that he saw no value in it. I took the pendant to my room and tried evoking a response using the methods Imperial magisters use to understand a magical item. To my dismay I could not evoke any response from it and tried many other methods which were as unsuccessful as the first. I wondered how could the pendant radiate the faint magic yet not respond to my methods. After a few hours I left the pendant in my room to go to the Arcanum Librarium to see if I could find any other method to understand what kind of magic the pendant was emanating. I spent countless hours in the Librarium and found a few other methods to test faint magic from objects and I returned to my room and recommenced my efforts to understand the nature of the magic present in the pendant. None of the methods produced any conclusive results so I stored the pendant in my strongbox and returned to my studies.
