Chapter 6

"Hey, guys! What do you think the final phase will be" I questioned.

"I don't know.." Kurapika responded.

The remaining 9-10 applicants were sitting in a circle. Except my brother Hisoka and that weird ass Gittarackur. We were all questioning what could be the final phase, that was until Bodoro decided to speak.

"I have an idea.." Bodoro said, "There's one thing we haven't done yet."

"What is it" I questioned.

"What's something we haven't been tested on" he continued to play dumb.

"I don't know, what is it old man" Hanzo snapped. Bodoro continued to tell us what we've been tested on, and he finally told us what we haven't yet. "PREPARE FOR A WRITTEN EXAM."

We all sweat dropped. Pokkle looked as if he was about to pass away.

"A.. written exam?" I deadpanned, almost not breathing of the horror. "Y/n, are you okay?" Kurapika asked me. He noticed my face gone pale. He waved a hand in front of my face as my unresponsive body sat in the same position.

I conjured a random item for a split second, and went invisible, sitting still. I quietly let my anger out, thankfully the others couldn't see me.

--- Kurapika POV ---

"What happened-" the others were confused because they didn't know y/n's abilities yet.

"She went invisible, I suppose.." I responded, "But I wonder why.."

"Do you think she'd go attack someone in rage? I mean she has an advantage of being invisible.." Pokkle stepped up.

"If that is true.. then the first person anyone would kill would be the one hosting the written exam" I claimed. They all froze in fear.

"SHE'LL FAIL IF SHE KILLS THE CHAIRMAN-" everyone got up and split up to find y/n. I went with Leorio. Gon and Killua went together. Pokkle and Hanzo went together. Bodoro stayed in the same room.

- y/n's POV -

I went back visible.

"So you never did leave the room did you?" Bodoro said. He noticed you came visible even though you were behind him.

"Nope," I said, still pretty upset.

"So y/n was here the whole time.." everyone had an irk mark and stared at me.

"I'M SORRY. I WAS LETTING MY ANGER OUT," I rolled up into a ball and fell onto Kurapika's lap. I blushed a little, but he didn't take much of it. He only began to stroke my hair.

"We have to study!" Hanzo said. "Right, there's a library on this airship." Pokkle said, leading the way to the library.

We were studying for a while. I was pretending to study while I hid my phone behind a book. Pokkle peeked over to Leorio.

"Leorio what are you doing? If you have time for a CHEAT SHEET, you have time to study," Pokkle said, upset.

"Hey, nobody will know... Once I have my license, it won't matter anymore" I rolled my eyes. I looked back to my phone but continued to hear their conversation.

"I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE THIS DESPERATE LEORIO"

"H-" Leorio was cut off when Hanzo got up.

"And where are YOU going?" Pokkle asked Hanzo.

"Where do you think I'm going...?"

"You're not..?" Leorio questioned. "If there's a final exam, then the answers have to be there, too.." Hanzo looked as if he hasn't slept in days.

"I didn't know you were a cheater, too." Pokkle was sounding much angrier. "Ninja's do what they have to do to pass.." Hanzo said walking out, "Anyways cya later.."

Pokkle and Leorio attacked Hanzo. They piled up fighting on the floor. "Ugh, you guys are so weird.." I said. I walked out, "ima find Kurapika"

"oooooOOO you like Kurapika don't you?" they all stopped their fighting and smirked at me.

I blushed in a shade of red, "N-no.. of COURSE not he's just my friend.."

"Sure, sure." Leorio smirked even more. "Just a friend, hm?" Hanzo had this weirder smirk.

"Then why are you BLUSHING," Pokkle asked me.

"I- LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE" I ran away from the guys, but I could hear their taunting from a long way. I finally found Kurapika and he was with Gon.

"Hey, guys" I waved at them. "You aren't studying?" Kurapika asked me.

"I have a hard time studying. Nothing can stick to me. I can't study this much in 3 days." I said, looking down. "Don't worry, y/n. I can't either" Gon said trying to cheer me up.

"I wish I was as smart, talented, and amazing like Kurapika is," I said, resting my arms on the railings in front of me. "Y/n, you're just as talented and amazing as I am," he said. My mind blanked for a second. I felt blood trickle from my nose. I tried covering it up with my sleeve.

"Y/N- ARE YOU OKAY" Gon asked, noticing blood drip onto the floor.

"no, yeah, I'm good," I said muffled. I looked to Kurapika who had a napkin out, handing it to me. I took it, replacing my sleeve with the napkin.

"Y/n, did I fluster you too much?" he asked, with a small chuckle. "Kurapika-" I blushed again, "I don't know what to say." Gon was long gone, and it was just the two of us. "Y/n," he said, leaning towards me.

His lips touched mine. His lips were soft, they were delicate as well. It was a passionate kiss. I was blushing as I looked at him. His beautiful golden hair.. He has an amazing figure..

I closed my eyes and continued to enjoy the kiss. We parted for air. Leorio, Hanzo and Pokkle were watching. "OoooOoooo y/nnn" they smirked at me.

I ignored them. I looked into Kurapika's eyes. "Y/n.." Kurapika continued, "I have a question for you.."

"Mhm?"

"After the exam, would you mind me taking you out on a da-" Kurapika was cut off by the loud speaker."I will be calling your numbers one by one to come speak with me privately.. Will applicant number 406 come to the conference room?"

"That's me.." I said, "What did you want to say?"

"N-nevermind." Kurapika appeared to be down, "I'll cya later."
