Investigation
The next morning they went to the factory again. There, they used their tickets to get half a day off. With that time they gathered a list of witnesses and suspects and why:
Witness:
Factory Workers-they were working
Suspect:
Factory Workers-had control of gadget, might be spy from Germany
Aunt Jen-told us not to worry, might be spy
Boss-have access to stroll around the place and look at gadgets.
After that, Caroline and Ryan split apart. Caroline interviewed the Factory Workers and Boss, and Ryan interviewed Aunt Jen while gathering notes form the interview.
Factory Worker Interview:
Caroline: When did you see the gadget disappear?
FW: When I came back from lunch.
Caroline: Do you think it disappeared during lunch break?
FW: Yes.
Caroline: Who do you think it is?
FW: Duh, a spy from the other country.
Caroline: Did you see any clue about the wreckage?
FW: No, I only saw my own little piece of lettuce from my lunch.
Caroline: Why did you put it there?
FW: I didn't.
Caroline: Did you open your lunch box during work?
FW: No.
Caroline: Is there anything secretive and important in there about this factory?
FW: No.
Caroline: Let me see.
(FW show Caroline)
Caroline: Ok, thank you. You may go back to your work.
FW: Of course. (Put's his lunchbox away)
Interview over
Aunt Jen Interview:
Ryan: Did you see the gadget disappear?
AJ: No
Ryan: Where were you then?
AJ: At home.
Ryan: Doing what?
AJ: Stop getting into my privacies!
Ryan: So, you were doing something secret that you don't want us to know?
AJ: Yes, No, Yes, No, Yes, No, Yes, No.
Ryan: Which one?
AJ: Yes
Ryan: What was it?
AJ: It's private.
Ryan: Why you don't want to tell?
AJ: It's grown up stuff.
Ryan: Same as you meant when you talked to Caroline earlier. You said she shouldn't care, so basically it's grown-up stuff if not kid stuff.
AJ: Done? I need to drink tea!
Ryan: Fine, have a nice "tea".
Interview Over
Boss Interview:
Caroline: When did you see the gadget disappear?
Boss: After I heard all the chaos.
Caroline: Where were you before the chaos?
Boss: Checking tent G.
Caroline: Was anyone missing in anyone in the tents today? Using tickets not counting.
Boss: Yes, Albert, and Jacob.
Caroline: Do you know when they will be back and why they are absent?
Boss: Albert is sick, Jacob needs to visit his grandma's funeral and Albert will be back the day after tomorrow and Jacob too.
Caroline: Thank you for your time and help!
Boss: It's my pleasure.
After all the interviews, Caroline and Ryan gathered together and read each others interviews.
"Do you think there is really nothing important in the factory workers lunch box? Maybe he took it out." Ryan suspected.
Caroline nodded.
"Maybe?"
