With a groan, Logan's eyes slowly opened to a hospital room. At first, she wondered what had happened that would make her go to the hospital, then all the events from the previous night came to her, and quite painfully, too.

There were flowers set up on her bedside table, an assortment of them, it looked like. In a chair, reading a book, was Spencer Reid. He glanced up quickly, shutting the book to give Logan his full attention.

"Where am I?" she asked.

"You passed out in the ambulance," Spencer explained. "But you're in Quantico again. Hotch wanted to stay with you, but he had a ton of work he needed to finish. So, I offered to stay for him."

Logan gave him a smile. "Thanks. How long have I been out?"

"Pain meds kept you under until today. It's 1, you just missed lunch."

"Aww, dang it. I was really hoping for some grilled cheese." Logan grinned, glad that her humor was back. "Have you been here the whole time?"

Spencer shook his head. "No. The team has been taking turns watching over you and giving Hotch updates after their shift." He glanced at his watch. "Mine is actually almost over."

Looking around the hospital room, Logan noticed that her rings were gone. She glanced at Spencer with a confused look. "Here are your rings," he said, handing her a small bag that jingled when it moved. "And the flowers are from everyone, in case you were wondering."

Minutes passed awkwardly, Spencer going back to his reading. Logan put her rings back on and turned to look out the window. Finally, she couldn't take the silence anymore, flipping her head to stare at Spencer.

"Are you not going to ask me about what I said last night?" she asked.

Spencer frowned as if he had no idea what she was talking about. "Why would I? If you want to talk about it, I'm always here, but I won't push you anytime soon to talk."

Logan smiled gratefully as the door opened. Derek walked in, accompanied by Garcia. Logan's face lit up and they went in for hugs. They updated her on everything she had missed, including all the paperwork that they had to get done once they got back. They filled her in on David Rossi, who had been off on vacation, the woman who had killed herself the night before, and her brother. As they spent more time together, Logan started feeling more like herself, the effect of the pain meds slowly fading away.

"Well, I am lucky that I did not come back to the BAU. You've given me enough work as it is over the past few days," she grinned. "Is Hotch still working?"

Morgan gave Logan an apologetic smile. "Sorry, kid. He wanted to be here, but he's working right now."

Logan tried to hide her disappointment, but failed. "I understand."

In an attempt to take her mind off of it, Garcia started talking. "You know, Christmas is coming up. The BAU has a fun little Christmas party where we do Secret Santa and eat, and I think we could do a gingerbread house making contest, too!"

Logan laughed at her child-like excitement over the contest. "Thanks, Cia. But, before we change the topic, what is Secret Santa?"

Garcia gasped. "Did you just ask what Secret Santa was?"

"You all heard what my life was like when I lived with my uncles. I think I'd be surprised if I did know what Secret Santa is."

"Right, yeah," she muttered. "Well, basically, Secret Santa is when everyone has to buy a gift for a random person from the group. It's super fun, we try to do it every year, but sometimes we get interrupted by stupid serial killers."

For about another hour, they talked and laughed together. Spencer didn't always engage in the conversations, but he would occasionally add something funny or statical that would cause Morgan to make fun of him for his intelligence. Naturally, that would cause Logan to hit him.

Eventually, they had to leave the hospital but would come back the next day with Hotch to check Logan out. She said goodbye to Garcia and Morgan first, waiting until they left to hug Spencer.

Spencer made his way to the door. His hand was on the door knob when Logan spoke up. "Hey, Spence?" He turned around, eyebrows raised. "Can we talk for a minute? About...you know what."

The doctor nodded, moving back to his original seat next to the hospital bed. "What do you want to talk about?"

Logan took a deep breath before speaking. "I don't know. I just want to get this awkward tension off my shoulders. Yeah, my uncles were jerks, but not all of them were. Parker was really the only one, the rest of them only did what he said because they looked up to him for some odd reason." She began twisting her ring, the one with the alexandrite. "Always happened in my own room, whenever they wanted to do it. If they were in the mood, I had to stop whatever I was doing just for them. And if I didn't, there were always consequences.

"They didn't care about me. Not even a little bit. They only used me for their own pleasure and then tossed me aside like an old cigarette. When I realized that, I just knew I had to get out of there as soon as possible," Logan said, staring into space as if she was reliving the nightmare. "Now, I have you guys. I know it's only been a few days, but you truly feel like my best friends that I've known forever. Which is weird, because I'm a teenager and you guys aren't."

With a deep breath, Logan's eyes closed. "I think that's it. Thank you."

Spencer placed a hand on her shoulder. "If you don't want me to talk about this, I won't-"

"No, it's fine. Probably about time I let my past go, anyway."

The doctor stood up again and made his way back to the door. "Oh, and Spence?"

"Yeah?"

Logan opened her eyes again and smirked at Spencer. "Remind me when I get back to introduce you to dating apps."
