"The phone number is untraceable, so it was likely a disposable phone," explained Hotch. "Our unsub is smart, but I think that he'll only stop with Joey. Which is why we need bait to draw him out."
Logan's forehead creased. "You mean that you're going to put Joey out there and let them kill him?"
Hotch sighed over the video call. "No, we won't let him kill Joey. We'll make him think that he's about to get what he wants, and then we'll arrest him."
"How do you know that it will work?" Morgan asked.
"We can't be sure, but there is a very good chance that our hitman will not take this opportunity. There is only a small percentage of hitmen that don't complete their missions," Spencer explained, starting to go into a long description about hitmen. "Hitmen only actually become hitmen for the money, so if they don't do it for the money or just because they genuinely like killing people, they'd only stop if they feared for their life."
"Okay, thank you for the weekly lesson on psychopaths," Garcia said like she was an announcer from her line.
"Call us as soon as you catch him, okay?" Logan intervened. "Killer Queen, over and out." She hung up and Hotch chuckled under his breath.
"She's loving that alias, Reid."
Spencer smirked. "I know. Every time I call her, it's the first thing I always hear."

Over the course of the next day, Logan wouldn't stop fidgeting. To keep her mind off of the case, she started to set up Spencer's dating profile. She found one of the best pictures she had taken of him to start off (the one time she had caught him eating a donut with the goofiest grin on his face and a Santa hat on top of his mop of hair), and then added all the details.
"'I have PhDs in mathematics, chemistry, and engineering, and BAs in psychology, sociology, and philosophy.' Nobody needs to know you haven't got that one yet, Spence. 'I am a highly respected F.B.I. agent that can read at 2,000 words per minute and I have an eidetic memory.'" Logan smiled to herself. "Spence, you really should be thanking me in more than just a 'thank you' when I find you the love of your life."
When her phone rang, Logan jumped slightly. She quickly picked up, still trying to recover from the jump-scare. "Go for Killer Queen, F.B.I."
"We got him, Logan. But he's not talking," Morgan's voice said.
"Alright, have you looked into his past?" Logan asked. "Let me get Cia."
"Uh, actually," he interrupted. "I have Garcia doing something else right now. Could you maybe do it?"
Logan frowned, but obliged. "Sure, I guess." She pulled up the files on her official F.B.I. computer. "Name?"
"Keith Garrett."
Fingers flew across the keyboard and within seconds, records and files about the man were pulled up on the computer. Logan blew out a breath. "Oh wow. Yeah, I think this is your guy. He's been to jail over five times, tons of unpaid parking tickets, speeding tickets, and lots of complaints from his neighbors that went straight to the police. He was enrolled into the military at 18, discharged at only 19. Family died in a fire when he was 10, and then was picked up by an 'abusive family'. His words, not mine."
"Anything else?" Morgan asked.
Logan rolled her eyes. "Big D, I'm 17 and I was not trained as a master hacker like Cia was. You want anything else, go ask her."
She moved back over to her second computer to continue making Spencer's dating profile. "Do you think Spence likes Chinese food?"
"What?"
"Nevermind." Logan quickly hung up the phone, only for it to ring back a few minutes later. "Can I help you?"
"Is this Logan Star?" a raspy voice asked.
"Uh, yeah?" Logan looked up slowly. "I'm sorry, I might have to transfer you over to another line, I was expecting a call from someone else."
Just as she was about to transfer the call, the person on the other line called out. "No! I-I wanted to reach you."
Logan frowned, squinting her eyes. "Alright, then. What can I do for you, sir?"
He chuckled. "I just wanted to let you know that everything that has happened was done for a reason." Logan froze, adding Hotch to the call. She just hoped that he didn't say anything at first. "Those men did horrible things to you, didn't they? That's all over now, isn't it? And all for you, Logan. Don't you see?"
"Who are you?"
"You'll see." The man hung up, leaving Hotch and Logan together.
"Who was that?" Hotch's voice asked.
Logan shrunk back in her seat. "I don't know, Hotch." Tears stung in her eyes. "But you heard him. It was all my fault. Whoever he was hired someone to kill them for me." An idea dawned on her. "I want to see him."
"See who?"
"I want to talk to Keith. Now."
"Absolutely not," quipped Hotch. "I don't want you anywhere near him, and besides, you're in Quantico, we're in Wisconsin. It's not going to happen."
Logan let out a frustrated sigh. "That is not fair. We both heard the call, and you know it. This is my fault, I want to find out who did this."
"It is not your fault," he interrupted. "And you are a teenager. When we find anything out, I'm going to need you to be ready, okay?"
Logan glared at her blank computer screen with her arms crossed. "Ugh, fine. Can I at least see the footage from when you interrogate him?"
"It's the least I can do." Hotch paused briefly. "Hey, when we get back, we'll make sure you have the best birthday dinner ever. With anyone or no one that you want there, too."
"Thanks, dad," smiled Logan. "I wasn't completely sure you'd remember."
"Of course I remembered! You know, I was planning on giving you a surprise birthday party tonight, but obviously that can't exactly happen now."
The teenager laughed. "I had no idea you could make a joke! Bye, then."

Oooooooh! We've got Spencer a dating profile, a mysterious man claiming that he was doing it all for Logan, and some father-daughter arguing! What do you think is going to happen next? I love hearing feedback and comments, so bring it on!
