chapter 11

A few days had passed and nothing exciting had really happened. The charity event was postponed a week due to some issue with funds. This means that Star and Elliot had 10 days until then.

They truly had nothing to do, they had already planned out the event in excruciating detail. They had also successfully gotten rid of 10 others not attending the event.

Due to the boredom and being stuck in the hotel (courtesy of Elliot), Star was going crazy.

She spent all of her time desperately trying to find a way to escape. She felt that Elliot had trusted her enough to where she could do so.

Starling just couldn't find any way to contact the troupe, until today.

It was pure luck that she ran into Machi that day.

Machi was another member of the troupe, she specialized in healing injuries.

Star was walking back from her daily workout when she spotted something bright and pink in the lobby. She turned the corner to see Machi standing there.

Machi was around Starlings height, she had bright pink hair pulled up in a ponytail, her eyes were sharp and complimented her equally as sharp jawline. She wore a simple white wrap shirt and black jeans.

Star practically screamed with joy when she saw her. She calmed herself down, she had to compose herself.

She walked by and gently whispered "bathroom" in Machi's ear. Machi, who was quite confused, looked back to see Star and then it clicked.

She followed her through the doors of the bathroom before she was crushed in a strong hug.

"Machi!! Oh my gosh you have no idea how happy I am to see you!!"

"Woah Star, slow down. Why are you here? Where did you go?"

Starling took a breath and looked into her friends eyes,

"Elliot Zoldyck managed to capture me. He took me to their mansion and Illumi Zoldyck, their eldest, tourtured me and found out about my parents. They said if I don't work for them they will kill my parents then me."

Stars eyes filled with sadness as she explained what happened and Machi felt for her.

"Well come on, let's get you out of here." Machi said as she grabbed Starlings wrist.

"That's the thing, I can't leave. Not until my parents are safe. Please, can you guys relocate them somewhere hidden? Once their safe then I can leave and we can take down the Zoldyck's."
Starlings sadness turned to rage.

"Of course, where are they?"

"All of the information is under a floorboard in the bathroom of my apartment. Thank you Machi."

The pink haired girl was pulled into another bone-crushing hug.

"Okay, I need to go before Elliot gets suspicious. Goodbye."

And with that Starling left the bathroom and walked back to her room. Her mood was better than it had been all week, with that she went into Elliot's room, ready to annoy the living shit out of him.

He was, unsurprisingly, reading a book on the couch. Starling sat with a bounce and tossed her legs onto his lap.

Elliot sent his signature glare at her and sliced her legs off of him. Starling gave him a devilish smile and plopped them right back in his lap.
