bonus: confession scene

Starlings eyes fluttered open as she felt something brush across her arm. It tickled, and she moved her arm away from the sensation. It returned. She turned over on her side, grimacing in the process. She then saw Elliot's fingers grabbing for her wrist. Her eyes shot to his as a soft smile played on his lips. He was alive. And awake, lying on two pillows to slightly prop up his head.

"Hey." His deep voice croaked out.

Tears welled up in Starlings eyes and she fought through the pain to turn to him. Kneeling by his side, she cupped his face in her palms, looking down at him.

"Hi." She said with a light giggle, leaning down she caught his lips in a sweet, love-filled kiss.

When Starling pulled back she ran her hands softly along Elliot's face and shoulders,

"Your okay." She said, her eyes tracing him as if he would disappear. Elliot reached his hands to meet with Star's, looking into her eyes.

"I'm okay. And so are you. We're okay." He said, the hint of a tear forming in the corners of his eyes.

Starling then began to litter his face with kisses, speaking between each one,

"I. Cant. Believe. You're. Okay. I. Was. So. Scared."

And then she paused.

"I was so scared." She said, her voice going soft and her features turned down.

Her happy tears quickly becomes sad as she recalled the events of last night.

Elliot reached for her, but quickly was stopped by a sharp pain in his abdomen. Damn, getting stabbed is a real fucking pain.

Looking back at her he managed to place a hand on her thigh, this managed to get her attention.

"You don't have to be scared anymore, I'm ok."

She wiped away her tears and brought her attention back to Elliot.

"You don't understand. I was terrified. Terrified of losing you. I can't lose you, El. And I almost did. I almost fucking lost you!" Her tears started to spill again.

"I cant not have you by my side. I-" she took in a deep breath, preparing herself for what she was about to say.

"I love you! I'm in love with you. Anything and everything a person can feel I feel for you. The love, overwhelming, unyielding, truly terrifying feeling. And the hate, hate for you almost leaving me. You can't do that ok? You can't leave me. Ever. I'm infatuated with everything you do, they way you make me feel, and the soft loos you give me. They way you cared for me even when you shouldn't have. Everything about you, I love. I love you, El."

The last of the tears dropped from her cheek as Elliot reached up, injury be dammed, and smashed their lips together.

The kiss was messy, full of tears and passion and pain. But most of all, love.

Elliot pulled back and rested his forehead against hers.

"I love you too Star. Everything about you. Even the things I hate I love. And I am never leaving you. Ever."

"Promise?" Starling asked, her voice came out small and vulnerable.

"Promise."
