It's been a few weeks since the Lake Manitoc case Cami has been feeling a lot better but still has a lingering cough Dean had hardly let her out of his sight since then.
They had been on the road non stop so Dean decided it would be best for them to stop and stay at a motel for a few days to catch up on some much needed sleep.
Dean is asleep on his stomach, with a arm around Cami who is sleeping peacefully beside her father propped up on about 3 pillows to keep her from coughing.
As the door opens, Dean and Cami awaken and slip a hand under their pillow for a weapon. As they turn to look, they see Sam entering, carrying coffee and pastries. Making Camille groan and flop back down.
"Morning, sunshine's!" Sam says with a smile, knowing that he succeeded in annoying the two so early in the morning
"What time is it?" Dean asks while Camille just groans.
"Uh, it's about five forty-five." Sam nonchalantly replies making Camille sit up and glare.
"In the morning?" Camille asks
"Yep." Sam replies with a hidden smile
Things have been a lot better between the two since Cami almost died, it made both of the realize just how short life really was and it wasn't worth holding a grudge.
"Where does the day go?" Dean asks sitting up with a yawn."Did you get any sleep last night?"
Cami coughed and accepted the hot chocolate from Sam taking a drink to clear her throat before sitting it on the nightstand and laying back down blocking out their conversation.
"Yeah, I grabbed a couple hours." Sam replies
"Liar. 'Cause I was up at three, and you were watching a George Foreman infomercial." Dean resorts
"Hey, what can I say? It's riveting TV." Sam jokes
"When was the last time you got a good night's sleep?" Dean asks
"I don't know, a little while, I guess. It's not a big deal." Sam says
"Yeah, it is." Dean replies
