"Thank you, keep the change." Cami smiled as she accepted her hot chocolate and blueberry muffin from the barista.
Cami took a drink from the hot chocolate the warmth feeling good on her sore throat, since she's been battling strep throat for the last few days. Luckily she should be towards the end of her sickness and instead of the sharp stabbing pains that had been in her throat it is now just a dull burning sensation.
Dean and Sam were sitting at one of the small tables on the outside patio, Cami walked over and took a seat beside her father who was looking through a newspaper for a case while Sam was sitting across from them on his laptop.
"Well dude. Not a decent lead in all of Nebraska. What've you got?" Dean asked Sam as he folded the newspaper back up
"Well, I've been scanning Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota. Here. A woman in Iowa fell 10,000 feet from an airplane and survived." Sam explained looking up at Dean and Cami who exchanged looks
"Sounds more like 'That's Incredible' than, uh, 'Twilight Zone'." Cami hoarsely spoke before taking another drink of her hot chocolate, Dean dug into his pocket and pulled out a pill bottle with Cami's name on it
"Yeah." Sam said absentmindedly
"You haven't taken your medicine today." Dean said handing her an amoxicillin tablet that a doctor had prescribed Cami to help clear up her strep
"Thanks." Cami said popping the tablet into her mouth before swallowing it with a drink of hot chocolate
"Hey you know we could just keep heading east. New York. Upstate. We could drop by and see Sarah again. Huh? Cool chick man, smokin'. You two seemed pretty friendly. What do you say?" Dean smirked at Sam who shifted in his seat
"Yeah, I dunno, maybe someday. But in the meantime we got a lot of work to do, and you know that." Sam reminded the two of them who sighed in response
"Yeah all right. What else you got?" Cami asked tearing off a piece of her muffin and popping it into her mouth
"Ahh, man in Colorado, local man named Daniel Elkins, was found mauled in his home." Sam read from his laptop and Dean paused thoughtfully
"Elkins? I know that name." Dean mumbled to himself making Cami and Sam exchange a look, never hearing that name before
"Doesn't ring a bell." Cami shrugged and Sam nodded in agreement
