i looked out of my bedroom window, warm sunlight illuminated my room and i could hear the chirps of birds jumping about. a tree branch stretched past the opening, nestled in the intersection of the trunk lay a little nest. i loved to watch the two birds who lived there go to and from. a while ago they were busy and caring, always nestled together. then one day the bigger bird disappeared, then the latter as well. today they had both returned and where snuggled together bathing in the spring light.
i looked at the road below, nobody was around besides for a little girl skipping by. when she passed my house she stopped to look up at me. i think my heart almost stopped.
she had the most gorgeous blue eyes.
