I woke to movement beside me in the bed, Chuck was getting out of bed. I reached over for him before he could get out. He looked at me with a large smile and laid back down to wrap me in his arms and give me a passionate kiss. When we broke apart he rested his forehead on mine.

"I was just going to get up and have a shower before sneaking away to make breakfast for us. Are you hungry?" he asks, I move back a little from him.

"No, but I really could use a cup of coffee. I usually don't eat as soon as I wake up." I moved my legs and a delicious pain blossomed. The pain of being utterly and totally satisfied more then once reminded me of what we did last night. I smiled before speaking again, "I could use a shower as well and we can go get breakfast together. By the time we get down to the kitchen I will probably be hungry by then.

He stands up and pulls me to my feet before leading me into the bathroom where we shower together, but he never takes it further then a little light touching. Soon enough we are both clean, and getting dressed. I made sure my hair was tangle free and the  makeup from last night was all gone before throwing on some of my perfume and deodorant.

Chuck comes out of the closet holding a sweater before handing it to me. I give him a quizzical look before he explains.

"I was thinking maybe we would go out for breakfast. The boss suggested getting out of the house, but its raining so you will need something more then the tank top your wearing." I smile appreciating the gesture of getting out and doing some sight seeing. I took the sweater and pulled it over my head before pulling my hair out of the shirt and leaving it to dry naturally down my back.

"I'm game, lets go." with a hop in my step Chuck held my hand as we walked out of the room and down the hallway to the elevator. My heart felt lighter than it has in many years, ever since the days of the orphanage and those weren't very good days to begin with.

We made it out of the building and the rain was light but it was super cold, Chuck pulled me into one of the cars parked out front before he got in the driver seat and took off, joining the flow of traffic with ease. I was kind of excited to be going out, spending time just me and him is what made me the happiest.

"Where are we going?" I ask to break the comfortable silence.

"There's this small little place on the North end of the city that has the best breakfast ever. Chet, Marshal and I like to go there to celebrate a job well done or when we have a free break together. But the food tastes just like you would expect mommas home made meal would be." he chuckled knowing neither of us had that, which would make this little place more appealing to me.

I started to bounce in my seat feeling the anticipation of the meal to come, I clapped my hands together like an eager child and giggled at him. "Oh man I can't wait." he smiled and took my hand in his and presses his lips to the back of my hand as we continued weaving in and out of traffic.

The drive was quiet but not awkward, it took us around half an hour to get where we needed to go. Pulling up out front I noticed the building was a bit worn, it seemed like it had been in this spot for a long time. Once we walked in I noticed the interior was just as worn, showing it was a favorite spot for more than just them. But it was a homey feeling when you walked in, the place was warm, the smell of baked goods and cinnamon assaults your nose and the area just leaves you feeling comforted.

Chuck leads me to a seat beside the window, so we can watch the people and cars go by as we eat. Once were seated an older woman with gray streaks in her hair comes with a pot of coffee, two cups and some menus.

"Coffee?" she asks, both Chuck and I nod. She pours cups and sets down some creamer and sugar as well as some menus to look at.

I pick up the menu and look at all the amazing sounding options. I don't know what to order, it all sounds so good. But the smell of cinnamon is something that has me craving french toast. I find the order having four pieces of french toast, whipped cream and your choice of berries on top with bacon or sausage on the side. Knowing this is what I want I put down my menu as Chuck just smiles at me.
