~Emily Mitchell on top~

It is currently 7:30 Am and guess what...Jaceon is puking his guts out and shivering as if someone poured ice down his back. Which is strange because his temperature is currently 101.2. My mothers both leave at 7:00am and Jace didn't start puking until 7:15Am. I called our mothers and they asked if I mind taking care of him for the day...its tuesday I have nothing important to do well besides school but my poor baby is far more important. I can hear my phone ringing and I know exactly who it is.

"Hi Faith,"

"Hey Jacey you don't have to pick up Miah and Jazzy...they both are sick,

"Oh Jace is sick too,"

"Oh really!" She says with excitement

Children are dying woman..why are you excited? Well they boys hang out all day every day so of course they get sick together. I wonder how Jazzy got sick?

"So can you do it?"

"Do what?

Okay maybe I need to stop talking to you people and actually see how my story plays out.

"It would really help since me and ya father have plans for today,"

"Well sure,"

I wonder what I agreed to?

"Great we'll on our way not actually,"

Oh no....Oh no...Oh hell no.....how am I gonna care for three sick children?

"Wait how did Jazzy get sick?"

"Miah sneezed on her yesterday at dinner he laughed and we really didn't think much of it,"

Ew .....that nasty heathen...he better not do that sneezing junk over here....has he not heard of covid?(This takes place in 2048) Well covid was this huge this huge pandemic I think when my mother was a child. It took about three years for things to get back in swing....apparently the way my mother puts it 2020 was the year of death and mishap. Come to think about it my Uncle was born in 2020...wasn't it this thing called social distancing?

The ringing of the doorbell makes me snap out of it. I answer it and before I can blink bags are shoved at me and Faith is running towards her car. I walk into the house and tell them to go into Jace room. I don't want to separate them and let their germs spread. Ugh it's only eight I guess I can take a nap. I put on a mask and give them my second phone so that if they need me they can call since my room is all the way down the hall for very good reasons.

When Jace and I were younger we was right next to eachother before he started being an annoying little brother. My mothers moved my room across the hall from his he rearranged my room...painted my door bright yellow..but gum in my shoes...tied my hair to the bed post....I nearly killed him by hanging him out the window. My mothers thought it would be best for me to move in with my dad but I don't really want to and Jace cried at the thought of me leaving while Jazzy cried at the thought of seeing me every day.

They just moved my room as far as possible and hoped for the best. Jace is still a jackass sometimes but I still love him. I go into my room and let sleep take me.

"Ugh," I groan as my phone rings

The kids are calling.

"We're dying are you ever going to feed us!" Jazzy yells

"Of course she is going to feed us," Miah tells Jazzy

"She better because I know the number to CPS by heart," Jace says looking me directly in the eye
