Chapter twelve - the appointment

It is currently 8 in the morning at we are on our way to the doctor's. I don't know how people get up at this time.

"So how do you feel?" Tokyo ask as we walk inside

I woke up at 6 am just to puke but I feel asleep on the toilet. One of Tokyo's boy toys found me and almost caught a heart attack.

"I'm fine for now," I respond "when are we going to eat?"

Even though we ate before we came here I am hungry again. We head to the front desk and I had to fill out a bunch of paper since this isn't my normal doctor's but I am glad my nonna got me insurance for here after I broke my arm on a family trip.

"Smith," the nurse calls

Me and Tokyo head to the back and the nurse tells me to take off my clothes and put the gown on. I go behind the curtain to change and when I come out the nurse checks everything like my weight and blood pressure.

I have gained weight which I would say is an good thing if it was a different situation.

"So if you are pregnant what are you going to do? Are you going to tell Kimmy?" She questions

She calls my mother Kimmy and she hates it so to get back at her my mother calls her Japan or China which seems highly racist.

"I have no idea I mean my mom raised me when she was young but she had a whole support systems," I sigh " I have no one but Kaiden and I don't even know if he is ready or even want's another child since the first one wasn't a good surprise,"

"Well now you have me and I am 100 percent sure if you tell Annabelle she will be here just for you," she smiles

The doctor walks in and we get started.

"So is there anything in there?" Tokyo ask

The doctor presses a button and the room is filled with a little heartbeat.

"You hear that Jacey that is your baby," the doctor says " and you see this that is your baby,"

I clean myself up and the doctor prints out photos.

"Awww I am going to start it a little baby book starting with this," she smiles "so how far along is she?"

"Two months," he responded "are there any other questions?"

"So what is she supposed to be doing at this stage to make sure the baby is healthy?"

Is this my baby of is this Tokyo baby?

"Well at this stage prenatal vitamins are a must, healthy eating, slight exercise if needed, and avoiding stress is a big one," he says "you can go to the front desk and make an next appointment,"

I am currently eight weeks pregnant and have to come back for another scan when I am 22 weeks which seem like a long way ahead. I make the appointment and Tokyo talks more to the doctor.

Again is this my baby or her baby?

"So when you come back for ya next appointment we can tell the gender of the baby," she smiles excitedly "what do you think it is?"

It. Ew I hate when people refer to a child as it.

"Well we are not calling the baby it the whole time," I state

"So what are we going to call it?" She ask

I hate her.

"Well we can call the baby soul," I smile " it's one of the characters of this old anime that me and Blake watched and I really liked the name,"
