{Rachel's POV}
I turned around and looked around the large room. Tables and chairs were all over the room. Some were over turned and others were pushed up in front of the windows and doors. I ran to the middle of the room and set my backpack on the ground.
As I sat on the ground I listened to the growls of the undead....but there was another noise. It was light footsteps, but they were to light, and quick for a hobbler. I scrambled up against a table and pulled my hood over my head. I had all black on and the room was dark so I blended in. I looked up to see a guy about my age walking by, but it wasn't just any guy, it was Zack. I inhaled sharply at the sight of my old friend, he looked over in my direction. I steeped our of the shadows so that he could see me, "Zack?" I asked in disbelief.
"Rachel?!" He answered me in his husky voice.
"Yes, YES, it's me!" I practically yelled running toward him with my arms open wide, ready for a hug.
"Holy SHIT, when did you get back?" He asked as he held me in a hug.
"About maybe, a year ago. Just as the epidemic occurred." I explained, leaning against him, close to tears.
"There's someone here that would like to see you, I bet." He said, looking down at me.
"Really, who?" I asked, chuckling. I looked over his shoulder just as a figure emerged from the shadows. "L-Liam?" I stuttered, not believing my eyes.
"Yup" he answered, popping the P.
"Ohmygod, I can't believe be it!" I whisper-yelled. I ran towards him and tackled him, making fall to the ground. Once we were done hugging we sat down and we started to make a plan.
"Do you know who else got out?" I asked.
"Well, Jaclyn went to Wales with her family before it occurred." Liam explained, in a low voice.
"And almost everyone we knew, well......." Zack finished, looking at the ground. I hung my head, sighing loudly.
"Hannah, Kayleen?" I asked, unsure.
"Hannah got out, I don't think Kayleen was as lucky." Zack explained, sadly.
"Ana?" I asked Liam.
"Not sure." He answered, huffing. I sat up quickly and got up off of the floor.
"Wait there, I'll be right back." I said to them. I ran over to my bag and opened it. I grabbed out the remaining food that I had stored and also some candy bars. I ran back over to them and set the small amount of food on the ground.
"OHMYGOD!!!" Zack yelled, happily.
"We haven't eaten in days!!!" Liam exclaimed, looking up at me joyfully.
"I don't eat much at all, you guys can have it, just let me have one of the candy bars." I laughed.
"Rachel, you really should eat some more, you are getting really slim." Zack said, worriedly. I glared him a set of daggers, and then sat down and grabbed a candy bar, ripping the paper off.
"Nope." I said, through a mouthful of chocolate.
