'she did ballet'

"nice shot, charlie!" sam complimented his brother.

"yeah. it's better than yours." charlie smirked. a woman, who maisie assumed was sam's mom, walked into the room.

"who's hungry?" she asked, holding up three pizza boxes. three.

"mom, you just blocked my shot!" charlie complained.

"i brought you pizza." the woman groaned.

"oh you must be maisie, it's lovely to meet you sweetheart!" ms thomas smiled.

"you too ms thomas." maisie replied, with a kind smile.

"what's going on?" kristy asked her mom.

"what do you mean 'what's going on'?" ms thomas asked, with a smirk.

"let's go get some pizza maisie!" sam smiled, giving her his hand to help her stand up from the floor. david michael grabbed her other hand, making her laugh a little. they all walked through to the dining table.

"you're home early." kristy started, smirking when she saw sam and maisie were holding hands. "you brought pizza." she continued.

"yes." ms thomas said, unsure of where this was going.

"did you get fired?" kristy asked worriedly.

"oh, no, baby. i did not get fired." ms thomas began. "i do have a small favour to ask you all!" she yelled over to where charlie was still playing the game. "is anyone gonna be around tomorrow night to look after david michael?" she asked.

"hot date with watson?" kristy asked, with a snarky tone.

"actually, i have some potential clients in town for the weekend." she explained.

"i'm going out with olivia tomorrow night." charlie replied, occupied by his game.

"i'm going with emmett and oliver to see the carcinogens." sam smiled.

"also i need the car!" charlie added, pointing to his mom.

"thanks guys." ms thomas said sarcastically.

"um, i was supposed to sleep over at mary anne's tomorrow night, but i guess we could..." kristy started.

"you do not have to cancel your plans. seeing as the boys didn't even give it a second thought." she complained slightly. "nothing, i'm gonna make some calls." ms thomas sighed.

"i think i'm free tomorrow, i could do it for you!" maisie suggested.

"it's okay sweetheart, you don't have to spend your saturday over here!" ms thomas smiled, kindly.

"no really, it's fine. i'll just have to check!" maisie smiled back.

"thank you maisie, but it's really alright if you can't." she replied.
