Ashley POV:
I walk in to work set my stuff down and start working on my computer. I could feel Jim looking at me but I didn't bother looking over at him. I noticed Cathy's desk was completely empty.
"Hey can we talk?" Jim said approaching your desk.
"Sorry I got a lot of work to do"
"Ashley it will only take a second"
You groaned and got up from your desk and followed him into the break room
"Alright Halpert what's up?" You asked in a annoyed tone
"What happened with me and Cathy wasn't anything at all. She forced herself on me and Before I could push her off you saw. I have no feelings for her whatsoever"
"Okay good talk" you said trying to leave the room but Jim put his hand on your shoulder
"Ashley plz I had to deal without you for 10 years. I don't want to do that again"
"Goodbye Jim"
You headed out of the break room with everyone staring at you. You tried your best to ignore them but it got so irritating
"What?!" You yelled to everyone. This made them stop staring and go back to work. It was obvious everyone knew what happened.
After a few hours you decided to get up from your desk to go get a snack when Phyllis approached you.
"How are you doing?"
"Not well at all"
Phyllis was like a second mom to you. You know she would do anything for you and that you could trust her.
"We'll just so you know Jim is telling you the truth. I was in the parking lot at the same time as them and saw what happened. If I were you I would think about giving him a second chance"
Your face grew more serious. You knew Phyllis had no reason to lie to you at all.
You thought about what she said for the rest of the day. When it was 5 you grabbed your stuff and headed to the parking lot when you saw Jim. He started approaching you.
"Ashley I promise I will leave you alone but I just wanted to you to know I love you and I always have no other girl could amount to the way you made me feel. I just wanted you to know that"
That's when you kissed him. You loved Jim and he was telling the truth you couldn't let one stupid thing get in the way of that.
"I love you too Halpert" you said smiling
