C H A P T E R 3

It was the middle of the night and Tenten woke up. She sensed something unfamiliar. She looked out her window and saw the bright full moon, and the twinkling stars. It reminded her of star gazing with her parents. Tenten had so much fun at that time, she wished things had never changed. She still wanted to go stargazing but she was always busy or tired. After her dad left, and her mother died, she hasn't been stargazing ever since. She felt a tear sliding down her cheek and wiped it. She had no one, she sighed and decided to get a drink of water. She went to the kitchen to get a drink of water until she heard strange loud noises, and a knock on the door. She put on her shoes, and grabbed a kunai. She went out to go check. She said hello but there were no noises, only the wind. She was freezing, and checked again before walking back into the house.
         Tenten wondered to herself, "Who could possibly be out here in the middle of the night... We don't live close to anyone..." Tenten shook her head. "No, possibly it was the wind, or some animals. Probably no one since it's the middle of the night-" She heard the bushes move, and turned around. Tenten got a strange uneasily feeling that something bad was gonna happen. When Tenten turned around she saw a black ninja holding a kunai against her throat. Tenten eyes widened it looked like the same ninja who escaped during the mission. "Remember me?" Tenten escaped his grip. Tenten disappeared and popped up behind him. It took him by surprise by how fast she was. They started fighting, and Tenten took out her kunai.

     Neji woke up, he looked around. He felt something strange, but he ignored it. He looked outside the window and it was still night time. He decided to go back to sleep, but something made him feel uneasy.  "That hand sign!" The ninja did a hand sign and hit her arm and leg. "My arm." Her opponent smiled evilly at her. "I've weakened the muscles of your right bicep and your left thigh so you won't be able to unleash that incredible strength of yours. Tenten looked at him, "A chakra stopper huh? Why not just kill me then. I have nothing else to lose." The ninja smiled, "True, but it wouldn't be, would it-" While he was talking Tenten used her strength to get up, and used full strength to punch him in the face. She was thinking. "I don't have enough chakra. I have to do with what I can do." The ninja took out his kunai, ripped her tendons and stabbed her in the stomach. Tenten coughed up blood. The ninja grabbed her chin and made her look at him. "Who knew you would recover that quickly from that chakra stopper. You always find a way to surprise me." Tenten looked at him, "Who are you, what do you want from me." He replied back, "My name is Nikushimi, I'm here-" Tenten vision was blurry and then it went black. Nikushimi chuckled. "Look at this mess, it's all so bloody. A beautiful place now looking like this. I'm gonna report it to my boss."

       It was morning, it was unlikely for Tenten to be late. She had never been late before and it worried the group. "This is so unlikely for Tenten to be late. I'm worried about her sensei." Gai nodded "Let's go to her house and see if she's there." Neji nodded. He was really worried about Tenten. He prayed that Tenten was alright. "She was alright yesterday night before Lee and I left." When they arrived they all panicked. Neji runned towards Tenten. He noticed her chakra was really low. "We need to get her to the hospital fast, her chakra is very low."Neji carried her and put her on his back. "You guys take care of this. I'm going to send Tenten to the hospital. Neji was angry at himself. 'How could this happen. I'm so stupid, it was a sign yesterday night indicating that Tenten was in danger. She was attacked so brutally. What happened to her...'

        They arrived at the hospital, Lady Tsunade was there, instead of Sakura. "Lady Tsunade!" She looked over and saw Tenten. "What happened to her!? Hurry quick." Neji was sitting next to her bed, holding her hand. He was thinking to himself. 'What happened to you Tenten... Whoever hurt you that bad I will kill him. Just please don't leave me... I love you...' Lady Tsunade knocked on the door, before entering. "What happened to her? How did she get injured like this." Neji shook his head. "I don't know..." Guy sensei and Lee came over. They saw Lady Tsunade and bowed to show respect. They saw Tenten, she was in a bad health condition. Lady Tsunade sighed, "She will be fine, she's a strong girl."
        Days passed, and Neji visited her everyday, bringing a flower. Tenten friends also visited her, and brought her flowers and cards. Sakura, Ino, Hinata, and Temari were her very closest friends. They visited her every two to three days. Tenten finally woke up from her coma. "Ugh, my body hurt-"Neji hugged her. He was happy that she was awake, "How are you feeling Tenten?" Neji helped Tenten sat up. "My head hurt, I can't remember what happened. Neji... You're hugging me too tight" Neji noticed it and let go. His face went a tiny bit pink. "Sorry Tenten." Tenten smiled, "It's fine."
Tenten was still recovering at the hospital. She would sometimes stroll outside of the hospital to get some fresh air. Tenten used crutches to help her walk. Tenten was lost in thought and didn't notice Neji coming her way. He sat down next to her. It was getting dark, and Neji put a jacket around her. Tenten looked and saw Neji. Neji smiled at her and they watched the sunset, it was peaceful. Tenten had her hair down, and Neji liked it. Her beautiful long dark brown hair was flowing with the wind. Neji had a weird feeling. He liked that feeling, it felt warm.
