CHAPTER 13

Days went by fast, soon enough it was time for Kaiya to leave. Their relationship had gotten better, and Kaiya wasn't that awful as before. Tenten decided to bid farewell to Kaiya. "It was nice having you here Kaiya." Tenten hugged her. "Yes, I'm sorry for the trouble that I had caused you." Kaiya bowed again. "It's fine, but who was the friend you were going to leave with?" Tenten curiously asked. "He was supposed to be here 10 minutes ago, but is late as always." Kaiya muttered. "SORRY!" A guy yelled as he hurriedly ran over to Kaiya. "What the heck took you so long? We were supposed to depart 10 minutes ago." Kaiya scolded him. "Ok, ok, I'm sorry. Anyways, Tenten right? Sorry for the trouble I had caused-" Nikushima was cutted off my Kaiya, "We better depart now, anyway Tenten if fate lets us meet again, it'll be destiny. Thank you goodbye!" They waved at Tenten. "Goodbye! May destiny let us come across each other." Tenten yelled as she waved goodbye.

As she was walking back from the gate, she saw Neji. She quickly ran to him and gave him a hug. "Neji! You're back from the mission! I missed you!" Tenten said as she gave him a peck on the cheek. "I missed you too Tenten, I just got back this morning. I also had to immediately go straight back to the Hokage office and report it. Would you like to go on a date with me today at 6:30, at the restaurant where we first went on a date?" Neji asked as he took her hand. "Yes of course." Tenten chortled from happiness. "Can't wait to see you then." Neji gave Tenten a kiss on the cheek, and then left.

She also bumped into Sakura. "Hey Sakura!" Tenten chirped happily. "Hi Tenten! You're in a cheerful mood today. Let me guess you're going on a date with Neji?" Sakura asked, putting an arm around her. "How did you even know? I didn't even say it yet." Tenten sighed. "We've been best friends for so long, if I don't know you that well would I even be considered your best friend?" Sakura laughed. "Any congrats, but too bad, I wanted us to have a girl night maybe tomorrow?" Sakura asked. "Hell ya, can't wait, anyways gotta go see you later!"

'Okay so what should I buy? I should've asked Sakura to come and help me pick out a dress. I suck at it, let's see. Nope... Too plain... Too glittery... Too short... This... This is perfect...' Tenten decided to pick out the red qipao. 'Okay, I better go home and get ready. Hmm... Should I go get Neji a gift? Maybe I should get him a watch. Might as well, since I'm near that store.' Tenten quickly went to the store, to pick him a perfect watch. 'I hope he likes it'. She smiled, walking out the store with a bag in her hand.

"Hey guys what are you doing here?" Tenten questioned as Ino, Hinata, and Sakura were all here. "We're all here to help you get ready!" They exclaimed cheerfully. "Oh well thanks guys. Come on in." Tenten said joyfully. "Would you guys like a cup of tea?" Tenten asked. They all declined it. "Nope anyway let's go get you all dressed up!" Ino piped. First let's do your makeup then hair, now first show me what dress you bought." Tenten took the red qipao out of the bag and showed it to them. "Wow it looks amazing." Hinata said. "I agree, imagine it on her, it would look even prettier." Sakura agreed. "Thanks guys." Tenten smiled.

"Hi Neji, sorry did I make you wait?" Tenten asked while trying to catch her breath. "No, I just got here. You look stunning." Neji said, blown away by her beauty. "Thanks, you look handsome today. Well I mean you look handsome everyday, you get what I mean." Tenten stumbled embarrassed. "Thank you, I got you a bouquet, I hope you like it." Neji said as he handed it to her. "It looks beautiful, thank you so much." Tenten said as she received it. "Let's go eat."

Tenten said, smiling and linking arms with Neji.
"Hello, welcome to the Konoha Restaurant, today's special menu is spaghetti. Here's the menu, please call me here when you're ready to order." The employee smiled as she handed the menu to them and left. "Hmm... I think I might order the spaghetti. I never tried it before. What about you Neji?" Tenten asked looking up from her menu. "Neji? Are you feeling alright?" Tenten felt that Neji was acting weird today. "Oh yea, I apologise. I'll also be ordering the spaghetti." He then called the waitress and ordered it for Tenten and him. "Sorry, can you please wait a moment, I need to use the restroom." He said as he left the table, leaving a confused Tenten. 'Did I do something? Why is he so spaced out today?' Tenten wondered as she was waiting.

"What was that dude?" Kiba asked as he also went into the bathroom to see a nervous Neji. "This is actually my first time seeing you this nervous." Kiba chuckled. "I can't help it, what if she rejects me?" Neji asked, all tensed up. "You'll do great." Shikamaru answered as he also went into the bathroom. The whole Konoha 12 squad was in the restaurant secretly hiding, to support them. "Thanks, I'll go now, before she gets suspicious."

"Sorry, I'm back." Neji smiled, as he sat down. "Oh it's fine, the waitress brought our food back while you were in the bathroom. Are you sure you're fine? We can end the date here for today, if you're not feeling well." Tenten said. Neji quickly replied back, "No, it's fine let's continue." Tenten slowly nodded, "Okay..." As they were eating and talking, Tenten noticed Neji was barely eating and talking. "The food was delicious thanks Neji." Tenten said as put down her fork. "I'm glad you enjoyed it, wanna go on a walk? " Neji asked as he took her hand. "Yea sure!" Tenten smiled, as their hand interlocked.

"How come you took me here? Neji, is something on your mind today, or something" Tenten asked. "Yes, Tenten I..." Neji stuttered for the first time. 'Calm down, be confident, I got this.' "Tenten, this is the place where I first met you and fell in love with you. I can't imagine a life without you in it. I want to grow old with you. Will you spend the rest of your life with me?" Neji kneeled one leg down as he took out a ring from his pocket. Tenten couldn't find the right word to describe it. "Neji- I- YES, I would love to spend the rest of my life with you." Tenten said as she hugged him. He put the ring on her and she cried with tears of joy. The rest of the Konoha 12 members came out with celebration items "CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!" They all screamed happily. "Neji I love you." She said as she kissed him on the lip.
