C H A P T E R 9

"Good afternoon, Tenten." Tenten looked over to where she heard the person called her. It was Hinata and Neji. "Oh hi Hinata." Tenten couldn't hide her emotion. She was annoyed at Neji. "What's wrong Tenten?" Hinata asked. Tenten rarely was in a bad mood. She was usually in a good mood, or at least fakes it. "Oh nothing, just looking at someone ruins my mood." Tenten mumbles. "I'm leaving, see you later." She said ignoring Neji. Before Neji could speak, she quickly left. "What happened between you two?" Hinata asked, looking puzzled. "I don't know, she was fine yesterday..." Neji replied watching her leave.

"You don't look too well today, Tenten." Kaiya said cheerfully while watching Neji train. 'Yes! That plan worked perfectly! Now, I even get to train with Neji. Tenten already hates Neji, and then Neji will slowly accept it and then like me! ' Tenten ignored her and kept on training with Lee. "Tenten how are you feeling today?" Lee asked while doging Tenten's attack. "I'm feeling great, Lee." Lee felt her attack got more rough and stronger. After the training, Tenten felt great she was worn out. All her anger was let out.

"That was nice, thanks Lee." Tenten said, starting to smile. Lee handed her a bottle of water. "No problem Tenten! We can do it again next time if you want!"
They were sitting down on the grass looking at the beautiful scenery. The birds were chirping happily. It was soon destroyed by Kaiya who slumped down beside her. "Hi Tenten." Acting all sweet and innocent. "How did you find me here?" Tenten asked, irritated. Tenten brought Lee to another place close to the training area. Tenten couldn't help roll her eyes when thinking about it. "Do you mind if I stay here?" Kaiya asked all sweetly. Tenten nodded. 'Oh my gosh, is she blind or what?! Can't she take a hint that I don't want her here?" Tenten thought to herself. "Sorry Tenten, I gotta go training with Guy Sensei, see you later!" Lee said as he left. 'Ha great! Now even Lee had left me here alone with this scum'. "What are you thinking about?" Kaiya asked.
"Nothing" Tenten replied back. "I'm leaving bye."
As she walked back without looking she heard a scream.

She looked back, and saw Kaiya on the ground with a scratch on her face, with blood. "What happened?" Tenten asked while hurriedly helping Kaiya get up. 'Can she not take care of herself? Why is she even placed in my group.' Kaiya started acting, "Tenten did I do anything wrong? I'm sorry if I made you angry, I didn't mean to. If you still feel like you need to vent out your anger you can hit me in the face!" Neji also came over due to the sound, and heard what happened. "Oh Neji-Kun! It's n-nothing. I just slipped and a stone scratched my face." Kaiya explained while flirting at Neji. Tenten couldn't help but scoff. "I'm leaving, take care." Neji grabbed her wrist tightly. "Explain Tenten." Neji asked, looking serious. "LET GO OF MY WRIST" Tenten yelled frustrated, "Can't you tell? It wasn't me who did it, and do you have evidence that I was the one who did it?" She said as he released his grip from her. "Nice acting Kaiya, keep it up. You should be an actress one day" Tenten said sarcastically. The next thing was unexpected for Tenten. Neji had slapped Tenten across the face, and she tripped down as she was stunned. "How dare you! Who gives you the permission to do that." Tenten shouted out to him. She kicked him in the nut, and left.

"Ouch, that girl is feisty, I like it. Anyway it would be 150 ryo (If I'm correct ryo would mean money in Naruto)." The guy transformed back to his normal self. "C'mon Nikushimi, I thought we're friends!" Kaiya whined. "First of all, stop calling me that name. Call me Yori. The 100 ryo would be this and last time, and I just got kicked in the nut, so 150 ryo. " She scoffed, "Fine whatever." And handed him the ryo as she left. 'Everything is going as planned, amazing.' She smirked thinking about how Tenten and Neji's relationship is sinking.

Tenten headed towards her favorite spot near her house. The place where she can take her mind off of things. She started training. 'That cunning little scum. How could she lie, and makes me look bad. I can't believe Neji thinks I actually did it.' The more Tenten thinks about it the angrier and sadder she gets. Her leg gave it away and she couldn't help but a tear came down her cheek. 'Stop being so weak Tenten, you can do better than that.' She quickly wiped her tears away when she heard a noise. 'Can't I ever get peace and privacy.' "COME OUT!" Tenten yelled, getting in her fighting position. It was unexpected. "Gaara? What are you doing here." She said feeling relaxed. Gaara walked near her. "Sorry for disturbing you again. I took a liking to this place, I hope you don't mind me here." Tenten nodded understanding. "Why are you sad on such a beautiful day like this?" Gaara asked, sitting down next to Tenten. "It's nothing-" "What happened to your face? Who hurted you?" Gaara asked. "Oh it's nothing, I'm sorry Garra but I need some time alone." Tenten said as she got up. "But thank you..." She left Gaara alone and went home.

'Who the heck is knocking on my door early in the morning.' Thought Tenten who quickly went to open the door. "Hi Tenten!" Said Hinata, and Ino. "Oh hi guys, what are you doing here in the morning?" Tenten yawn sleepily. "It's already 11:00 a.m!" Ino said, surprised. "Wait what??" Hinata nodded. "Yes, Tenten even I was surprised that you just woke up. You usually wake up super early." Hinata said as they went into the living room. They noticed Tenten's bruised cheek, and asked what happened. "Ugh don't even start. Just go ask Neji, he's the one who caused it. Anyway-" "WHAT????" Ino exclaimed. "Oh no he didn't." Ino said, cracking her knuckles, getting ready to beat the life out of him. "No way... when?." Hinata said, surprised. "It was yesterday, after training?" Tenten sadly nodded. "Tenten, but yesterday right after practice Neji had left with me. I went there to tell him to come straight home for a family meeting. So it's impossible for him to be there." Hinata said, confused. Tenten's eyes light up with hope. "Really? But if Neji was with you... Then who's the guy who looked exactly like Neji?" "What-" Ino was cut off by Hinata. "Maybe it's the Face Copying Technique!" Hinata said. "It happened to me once, on a mission before." 'It's all starting to make sense now, How could I be so damn stupid.' Tenten said mindlessly, touching her necklace. "Cute necklace, how come you started wearing it often?" Ino asked with her eyes sparkling. "My dad gave it to me anyway, speaking of which-" Tenten said.

"WHAT?!" They shouted confused." "But I'm sorry are we missing something?" Ino asked, muddled. "I thought um... your dad left you..." Hinata quietly said. "Yea he did... but he came back, and..." She explained to them what happened.  "I'm sorry to hear that." Hinata said. "Anyway where's Sakura?" Tenten asks, trying to switch the topic. "She's gone on a mission." Ino said. Tenten nodded. "Let's lighten up the mood!" Ino exclaimed. "No talks about boys or other stress related stuff."
They just finished playing the board game and Hinata had won the last round. "YES I WON!" Hinata jumped in the air. "Aw darn, I lost." "Anyway since you won first place, where do you wanna eat?" Tenten asked. "Ichiraku Ramen!" Hinata said excitedly. "Ohh, I see~." Ino said, wiggling her eyebrow. "Oh stop it." Tenten chuckled. They started to clean up and head to the Ramen place.

Once they arrived, they saw Naruto there eating. "Hey their back from their mission." Ino said, walking close to him. "Hey guys!" Sakura said. Naruto looked back and saw them, and waved. Hinata, Ino and Tenten sat down and each order a ramen. Team 7 had just completed a  B rank mission. "So what happened while I was gone?" Sakura asked, while finishing her ramen." "We'll explain it to you later. Let's have a sleepover." Ino asked. "At who house?" Hinata asked looking up while still eating the ramen. "We can have it at my house." Tenten said. "Yay can't wait, we'll come before 7p.m." Ino said, wiping her mouth with the napkin.  "I'll go get ready cya." She said as leaving. Sakura, and Tenten waved goodbye to her. When they looked back they saw Hinata chatting with Naruto. "Let's leave, bye Hinata, enjoy your little date." Sakura said as she and Tenten walked away.
