"I'll be going."

(YN) announced. It was just like they often do by now. He will prepare for work and then she will accompany him to the door and see him off, giving him a goodbye kiss as a good luck charm.

Then Aoi's routine will start. Cleaning the apartment, getting the food and then she will have a lot of free time in her hands. It was almost noon when she arrived at the Kocho hospitals. They were busy as ever, with people going in and out of the building. Paramedics, nurses and doctors were having smoke breaks outside. Sisters, wives and even complete families were there too; discussing about the situation of the patient they brought. Just a normal day around here.

"Dr. Kanzaki?"

Of course she would be recognized, she's one of the top medical professionals here. If not the best. All her friends and coworkers look up to her in more than one way. It was not abnormal for some nurses to come and greet her.

"H-hello..." she waved her hand with and awkward face.

"We were all concerned about you, director Kocho told us that you got a long term permit for leaving." She closed in to whisper "There were rumors about you being pregnant."

Her face turned crimson. Her ivory skin made the red color to highlight even more.

"P-pregnant? What are you talking about, I have no boyfr—" well, that's were you're wrong, girl.

The words became stuck in her throat.

"Ehhhh? Dr. Kanzaki has a boyfriend!? This will become the main gossip, I have to tell everyone!"

"No, no, no, no. You have to keep that secret." Aoi clapped her hands together "At least until I speak with the director Kocho."

The nurse winked at her before going back to her group of friends. Well, having good coworker it's not bad at all.

Going up is never easy. That elevator is like a mental wrecking machine. Up, up, up, up it goes, in a slow marching, playing with your mind every time the lights of each floor button turns on. You never know what will be at the other side of the door when reaching the last of the floors.
