Office works sucks. That was the thought of (YN) as he poured his fourth coffee of the morning on his work place mug. Workload is three times more than what it used to be on early months of the year. It's such a strange thing that when winter is coming, the rate of crimes goes up too.

"Not my problem anyway. Man, it's already November, I missed my chance to go into a trip to Mexico again to enjoy Dia de Muertos..." he sighed defeated.

"I never knew that you were interested in foreign cultures."

Himejima Gyomei didn't look at him, the big man just filled his own cup with coffee and began to blend the sugar and cream with the dark liquid. He's the gentle giant of the department and the ace of the breaching squad, since his large build helps when it comes to break down a door with a shield. No matter what kind of force is behind that door, Himejima found a way in.

"Well, every culture has a charm of his own."

He agreed with his junior.

They came back to the office. It was not a small space, but it sure was packed with people whatsoever. Officer coming in and out, others were handling the paperwork from the front desk and others were just attending the phone of the emergency calls.

(YN) didnt care much about this, he handle his own paperwork with efficiency and quality. It's the least he can do in that place.

"I heard Tomioka-san gave you an offer to get back to the streets." Himejima says as both of you went through the people of the room.

"Yeah, but I declined though."

"Figures, but you should give it a shot. Everyone wants to have you back, you were one of the bests when it came to detective work."

Truth, he has the nose of a hound when it comes to follow a crime. In his rookie year, in collaboration with Tanjiro and Kanao you were able to stop a small —but growing— network of drug dealing. They were foreigners who came to Japan to disturb the peace with his drugs and violence. Deep inside, he wanted to go back to those days.

He suddenly felt the urge to have a smoke.

"I'll give it a thought... I won't be as welcomed as you think, Shinazugawa-san and Obanai-san are not the type to just give me a warm welcome."

"Even if you don't believe me, Shinazugawa-san was the one who began all this idea of bringing you back." The gentle giant comments with his usual calmness.

"Eh? No, no, no. That's impossible, he's the last person who wants someone like Me in the streets, don't you remember the beating he gave to me after the 'incident'?"

"It's because he needs someone experienced in what they are planning. After all, Ubuyashaki-sama and Governor Muzan got some good intelligence on 'him'."

His march stopped. Standing death frozen in the middle of the room, not hearing the loud noises from the office, instead he just focused on the words from his coworker. Is that information for real? They finally found him? And they want him to participate?

"Why me? I mean... there should be others..."

(YN) feared that his knees were to fail him, his breath became heavy for some reason and his mind didn't knew what to think aside from what he just heard.

"There are none, you were the first and last option, every other who was related to his files are out of the force." Gyomei took two steps forward; just those were enough to close the distance "We need you, (YN), but we can't work with you if you don't want to. Think about it, maybe with this you can... overcome your situation."
