Sore back, restless nights and the sunlight hitting his face. Not the best combination to be honest.

What day it is?

Reaching for his phone only detonated a series of cracks all around his body. It was the scream of pain your body released.

Saturday... so it's been a week since Aoi Kanzaki started living with him. The first days were awkward, since the girl was ashamed to impose herself into his apartment. Day by day she began to laugh more, to spend more time with him and even she began cooks dinner, when he arrived at home a cute gal will welcome him and put a delicious plate of steaming-hot food in front of him.

It's like having a girlfriend or a wife...

"Good morning, (YN-kun). How do yo slept?"

"Urk" he groaned as he pushed himself up "I've seen better nights."

And well, it's not to be surprised. Couches are not mean to be used as beds, they can act as one for one or two nights, but a week long is just hell or torture.

His eyes crossed with hers. A glint of discouragement and sadness could be seen on that deep blue color. More like she's frustrated, her guilt invaded her expression, turning her lips upside down and he could swear that her ears dropped a little.

He felt a thump in his heart. Even like this, she seems beautiful.

"I'll take a shower, can you prepare breakfast?" He averted his gaze from her. It was dangerous.

"Yesh, leave it to me!" She cheered with a mild cold fire in her eyes. Like a dancing blue flame, a hypnotic one.

He didn't say anything. His heart was like a drum. He couldn't say anything.

Aoi Kanzaki grinned while puffing her generous chest out. Cooking was never her forte, but that doesn't means she can't do it at all.

A simple yet charming and elegant dish. With eggs, toasts and a bit of imagination you can create a variety of plates. And this was only one of them.

Time for a recipe: Eggy cheese crumpets.

Swap your regular toast or sandwiches at lunch or breakfast time for these delicious eggy cheese crumpets. Enjoy with cherry tomatoes and sliced avocado.

For this glamorous breakfast you'll need: 3 eggs, 50 millilitres of milk, 6 crumpets, 250 grams of cherry tomatoes, drizzle of vegetable oil, 40 grams of cheddar, 2 small avocado.

STEP 1

Heat the grill. Beat the eggs and milk together in a wide dish. Submerge the crumpets in the egg mixture, turning them once, then set aside for a few minutes.

STEP 2

Arrange the tomatoes cut-side up on a baking tray and grill for a few minutes, then cover the tray with foil to keep the tomatoes warm.

STEP 3

Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the crumpets for a few minutes on each side until the egg has set – you may have to do this in batches. Transfer them to a baking tray as you go. Once all the crumpets are cooked, top with the cheese and grill for 1-2 mins until the cheese is bubbling and golden. Serve with the tomatoes and avocado slices.

"My, my. It looks delicious." (YN) said coming out of the room with fresh clothes.

"Isn't it? Praise me mo—"

Aoi could not finish her sentence, the words were stuck way down her throat. It was just that he looked different somehow...

Only wearing a plain white tshirt and some slouch pants. His messy and still damp hair fell upon his face, small pearls of water ran down the almost silk-like locks. He was by no means fat nor he has an herculean build, but was fit and athletic.
