"The raid could consider as a pyrrhic victory."

"An explosion shocked the downtown this morning..."

"Panic in Tokyo."

Aoi turned off the TV. Not a single good word came out of those idiots in the news. Everything was about how an explosion happened and the aftermath left behind. Not even one of them spoke about the rescued girls nor the injured officers that arrived at the hospital some hours ago.

The blue eyed girl frowned as she stood up and walked to the coffee table, hot water awaited since some minutes ago. Pouring the liquid into a cup she drifted into her thoughts. Idiots are lucky, that's an old saying and heck it was true.

(YN) avoided death, only small injuries and burns. He didn't even cared about himself, first thing he asked was about his comrades and the rescued girls. Aoi felt a weird mix of hate and love against this attitude, he was careless and gentle.

That doesn't mean that he escaped his well deserved slap. She got reasons to put all he strength behind, he didn't say a word about this raid, he was careless, he got injuries, he made her worry —nearly cry—. What if it ended like Inosuke again!?

The doctor shook her head. Her mind began to drift into dangerous terrain.

At the end of the day everything ended well. He was resting in another room with Sanemi and Rengoku; the rest of the team arrived and Shinobu dragged them to a full body medical checkup, not even one of the were spared from this. Now that Aoi recalled this, Kocho-sama took some extra time with Tomioka-san and they were unnaturally exhausted when they came out of the room.

Maybe, the both of them... in a hospital... with their friends waiting,  waiting outside... blinded by adrenaline and lust... Or maybe she's just overthinking it.

For now everything was going like a train in it's respective railway. She talked little to nothing with her boyfriend since he was sharing room with the awfully humorous wind pillar, who took every chance to grumble and curse at the lovers; she let them rest, it was no use to blame that snarky behavior, even she perceived a faint tension in (YN), he was pissed with something. It was better to ask later about it.

"Still, I'm angry, he can't take care of himself." She croaked.

"It's hard to date a police agent."

Aoi jumped in her own seat. She traced the words and found out that Giyu Tomioka was in the room, he took a clean mug and helped himself with a late night coffee.

"T-tomioka-san. You startled me!"

"I'm sorry. You were deep in thoughts." The blue eyed hunk took the sit in front of her "How is he, by the way?"

"Resting. He won't die that easily, he's stubborn and foolish."

"Yes, he is. But he has the heart and bravery that one needs for this kind of work."

Aoi made an empty 'ah' mimic with her mouth. Like her words found a void at the end of her tongue and were lost in the nothingness. Whenever the water pillar praised someone it left an unexplainable feeling in one's gut.

"Did he knows? The most important reason why Kocho opposes the relationship?" He took a big sip of the drink, his eyes glued to her.

Aoi shook her head.

"He don't."

Tomioka nods with her usual taciturn face. He tried to find the best words for her, not as a lecture but as an advice. His fortune was low, not an single thing came out of his mouth. He decided to give just a straightforward suggestion.
