Jade POV:

We've been living in this apartment together for almost three weeks, and I've come to learn a few things about Jesy and Leigh.

First, Jesy is the worst cook ever. If she isn't cooking eggs, then get ready to call the fire department. Luckily Leigh and I can cook decent meals, or else we'd all starve.

Also, Leigh is the loudest person ever. I swear she doesn't know how to whisper. I don't know if she realizes it, but it's kinda cute, so I don't mind.

Tonight I'm laying with Leigh-Anne like usual. We've gotten a lot closer since we started sharing a room. Every night we snuggle into each other.

Right now, she's wrapped in my arms and sound asleep. I can't sleep as usual. It takes a while sometimes to shut my brain down.

Just as I'm about to finally fall asleep, the sound of glass breaking in the kitchen wakes me up for good.

Knowing that Leigh is next to me means that one of the other girls probably got up for a late-night snack. It's most likely Pez. There's only one thing she loves more than sleep, and it's food.

"Shit!"

Shooting up in bed I realize, that's not Perrie or Jesy's voice. It's too deep and too manly.

"Leigh!" I whisper shouted to the sleeping girl next to me. "Come on, wake up."

"What?" she answered, still half asleep.

"Leigh, get up. Someone's in the house. We have to get to Jesy and Pez."

That seemed to get her attention because she instantly sat up with wide eyes, already making her way out of bed silently.

We crept up to the door and listened to see where the intruder was in the small apartment.

I could hear him sweeping up glass in the kitchen. This was our chance. He wouldn't be able to see down the hall while he was in the kitchen.

So, grabbing Leigh's hand and opening the door as quietly as I can, I made a run for the room farther down the hall.

Making it inside, we locked the door.

"You wake Pez, and I'll tell Jesy what happened."

Leigh nodded and crept to Perrie's side of the bed while I went to Jesy's.

"Jesy! Jesy, wake up."

"I swear to God if one of you had a nightmare. I told you not to watch that scary movie."

"No, Jesy, there's someone in the house!"

"What, " this time her voice was urgent, and if I didn't know any better, it sounded as if she was scared.

"He's in the kitchen. I heard him drop something."

Taking in my scared expression, she moved me into her spot on the bed as she stood.

"You three stay here and call the cops, ok."

"But what about you?" Leigh asked.

"I'll be fine. If he finds all of us, he'll hurt us all. I can distract him while you guys call the cops. It's the only way."

"Jesy, no, you can't do that."

"I have to. It'll be ok. I love you guys, " she said while kissing all of our foreheads. "Now stay quiet and stay here."

Jesy walled out, and I called the police. They said it would be 10 minutes before they got to our house.

That's too long, and I could hear Jesy talking to the man. I couldn't let her do this on her own.
