Chapter 22

Adrianna's POV:

Well, majority of the gangs got girlfriend's now, so that's quite something. The girls are over very often to be honest, which is nice, it's weird to think that when I first arrived in Tulsa I had no friends and I thought I had no family. Who would've thought that I'd be here with all these friends, who are basically family at this point.

Today is more just a relaxing day for me and Sodapop, he has the day off and all the other guys are out with their girlfriends, so we decided we would spend the day home alone together.

"So what's the plan for today beautiful?" I heard Soda ask. After all this time I still blush every time he calls me beautiful.

"Well I was thinking movies and chocolate cake before the guys get back." I replied while smiling at him.

"Well, let's do it". Soda jumped up off the couch and rushed into the kitchen to get the cake while I started getting the movies ready to watch.

We cuddled up on the couch together eating our cake and it isn't long into the second movie before I start to feel my eyes getting heavier and I fall asleep in the comfort of Soda's arms.

A while goes by and I wake up the sound of what I think is Pony and Darry coming in through the door. I stay where I am and they assume that I'm still asleep, so they start whispering to Soda.

I knew for sure it was Pony when I hear him speak first, "hey Soda man, I don't think I've ever seen you so with someone before."

I can hear the happiness in Soda's voice when he replies, "Pony, I love her, she means everything to me and I wanna be able to spend the rest of my life with her.

Darry's the last to speak, "Soda, she's definitely one you should cherish forever, even I have seen the way you are with her and this is the happiest you have been since before mom and died. She's changing you for the better, she's the one."

With that I could hear Darry and Pony's footsteps head off into the kitchen so I finally look up at Soda, smiling, I say "Soda, you're my favourite person ever and I never wanna lose you. I love you so much."

He smiles back at me for a second before speaking, "I love you so much too, you heard everything though, didn't you?"

"I did and I'm so glad I heard it." He's smiling down at me so I finally sit up and he leans towards in to kiss me, while kissing him back the only thing going through my mind is that I'm so extremely happy with my life right now, and this is where I wanna be forever.

Who knew one person could cause a permanent happiness in your life.
